I had a little scare yesterday. My store was out of San Marzano tomatoes. I had run out of my own sauce and needed to make more. I had tomato sauce in a can. But that's not the same. So I had to go to a second store and there I found the last can of San Marzano tomatoes. Whew!

Sweet Italian sausage, green pepper, onion, (my own) tomato sauce, fresh grated Parmesan, fresh shredded low moisture whole milk mozzarella and provolone. Topped with fresh shredded Romano!

Finally continuing on my wood storage structure again. I had kind of neglected that project. Restructured a few things so it's stronger and also easier to add some 2x2 bars to complete the look. Did the top rafters and birds mouths, tomorrow I will paint at least the first coat with everything separate to ensure better coverage into the areas that touch. Once everything is installed I'll do another coat then install the unistrut and solar panels which will act as a way to reduce amount of rain that hits the wood, and extra power. Should have room for like 3 cords of wood in there if my calculations are right.

Not my best work but think once the rails are in and it's painted it will look a little better.

I always underestimate how long it takes to paint stuff. Ran out of daylight, also ran out of paint which was a big delay as I had to go get more, if it was not for that think I could have done a second coat. This is probably the last nice day left this year so I think I will go ahead and install everything either tomorrow if it doesn't rain, or on my next day off. Can do the other coats with it all installed. Just wanted to do it separately to get all sides at least once.

There will be railings going on both sides just to complete the look, and also hold logs in place. Hoping to get the solar panels up this year too.

I have a basic one actually, but didn't feel like having to go look for it then set it up while I was in middle of painting and had the paint out, just hurried up while I still had some small amount of light left.

The nice weather is done now and it's back to rain and cold, so second coat will go to next year but I'll probably install the rails and rafters at some point when the rain stops, and do the unistrut and solar panels. Even if I don't do the electrical hookup it would be nice to have the panels in place. One less thing in my garage. Also want to bring my ATV to my off grid property. Plan to do that on my next day off. Going to free up tons of space in the garage if I can do that. I found out they plow the road year round now, so I'll be able to go for a ride in winter once in a while to check up on it and take snow off the tarp shed.
