Running some electrical wire for a new outlet. Original plan was to piggyback off an existing outlet in the floor. Well, that appears to be always-on. Not wanting to electrocute myself or my electrician friend, I found a new outlet that could be turned off.
Next problem is the location I want to run wire in the wall appears to be too close to the fire place.
No worries, I'll go for a slightly farther spot but I know it will work. It won't look as clean, but that's ok.
Running the fish tape at the new location, and it bounces off an existing junction box, twists up, and snaps.
Annoying, so I pulled the other junction box, untangled everything, and ultimately ran the wire successfully.
Not in the location I wanted, with a lot more drywall cut up than I wanted, but it's done. I have a nearby electrical outlet for my TV mounted above the fire place.
