It was running fine this am. I wanted to add memory there were 2 sticks of ddr4 2400 in the 1 and 3 slot and I added 2 sticks of ddr4 3200 to the other slots. it powered up and it would not beep, took the new memory out still no beep. I have one stick of the old memory in the slot close to the cpu and have taken out 2 plugged in cards. I have reset the cmos and still no beep. aany ideas? thanks

Any changes may cause the system to react slowly on 1st boot under the new configuration.

Did you wear a static strap or ground yourself?

Is it possible you left something off or knocked something off?

Are you 100% sure the memory is properly seated?

I prefer to install memory out of a system with the MB on a flat surface, instead of up on standoffs...

Thanks, I did not protect from the static. I have tried different memory in it, disconnected and retested every connection and there is no change so this easy upgrade turned into a mess.

Yikes, sorry.

Well there is little chance that all 4 sticks suddenly went bad. I've sparked memory before (freshly installed, brand new memory). When the cm long blue flame shot from my fingers I knew right away but it didn't kill the MB and not all the memory, YMMV.

You must have done "something". Maybe give it a few minutes to check itself. I'm pretty sure hardware changes cause longer boots the first time. Good luck!

Make sure to unplug power cable when clearing CMOS. Install one stick of memory to the FARTHEST slot from the CPU when first rebooting.

Disconnect the PSU from the wall. Pull the memory from the slots and use some compressed air to blow out the dimms. It's possible that some debris settled in the unoccupied slots. You can also use a soft bristled brush like a paint brush or tooth brush. Just be gentle. Then as mentioned above start with 1 stick.
