I'm doing my first DIY computer build. I would like to order the mobo from Amazon but would like to know which revision number I will be receiving. I've looked on the Amazon order page and there is no mention of it that I can find. Any idea how to find it?

Go to the motherboard manufacture's website. More info should be there.

That really won't do any good. The mobo I'm looking at has 5 revisions of the same model. The manufacturer can't tell me what revision # of that model Amazon is going to send
me.

Ahhh must be GIGABYTE! Unless the vendor/seller is willing to specify in product info/details or by contacting them, you have no way of knowing. Purchase from a "stocking" retailer or reseller, who has them in their control or inventory.

Great tip! Thanks. The V3 is less likely to have an older BIOS too which is why I was looking for a later revision#!

The Gigabyte website says all revisions of both the V2 and V3 versions of that board support Q-Flash Plus. That means you should be able to flash a BIOS update to the board without even needing to have a CPU or DRAM installed.

So, it shouldn't matter what version you get or what BIOS comes installed on it.
