Democrats really need to stop voting by mail, unless they have no other choice.
OTOH, it's just the Nazi's current excuse. They WILL find another.
It's just that this one has teeth and gives them some play under the rule of law.
Yea, I agree. I voted by mail during Covid, but I decided to vote in person this year, just to minimize any chances of mistake or accident. I live in MN, so I dont expect any Rep shenanigan, but there was one carload of ballots left in a parking lot unsecured, so I just prefer in person unless there is a strong reason to use mail in.

I strongly suspect he will go with the method he displayed more and more in his last years in office which is to simply ignore Congress and dare them to do something about it. (they won't)
He certainly will try, I agree. And of course, the Dems for sure wont get a veto proof majority, so the best we can hope for is a stalemate on some issues.

I've been voting by mail in one of the reddest of the red states for over 20 years. Seems to be mostly a swing state issue. Already verified online that my ballot had been recieved. They really only care when it matters.

anybody keeping track of voting numbers in AZ and NV?

Watching but the data is giving less of a clue this year than previous for reasons already covered.

Vote timing pattern in NV at least looks a lot more like 2022 than 2020 so far.

Not so sure that it matters much at this point. Trump has spread his "agenda" since, what, 2015 when he ran for the first term? I will vote for Kamala (well, actually against Trump) no matter what. I think a lot of people actually like Trump's racist, fascist, white nationalist agenda. Others just somehow like the "show". You are not going to convince anyone supporting, (or even considering supporting) Trump at this late date, that he is a threat to democracy. I would prefer they just ignore him totally. Isn't there an old saying that any publicity is good publicity, or something like that?

I would also like more from Kamala about how she is going to make my life better, instead of just saying what a bad guy Trump is --- I already know that.

How specific do you want her to be? Because she's given a fuckload more detail about her agenda than Trump ever has or will.

Edit: one of the major differences between candidates is that Kamala has definitive policy positions in the first place!

That she's not going to, on purpose, drive the entire US economy into the Grand Canyon should probably be enough.

Does _anybody_ use the word "refute" correctly these days?
It doesn't mean "rejects" or "denies" or "contradicts".

Refutation’s an intellectual process, involving the presentation of evidence leading to a neutral observer's acceptance of the contrary case. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says.

(Or is this one of those things like "literally" where even the dictionaries have given up and changed the definition because it gets misused so frequently?)
I refuse to give up on literally. When I say it I mean it.

Reasons why I much prefer mail voting to drop boxes. USPSIS is also going to find you and send you to prison if you fuck around.
I'm going to mail my ballot as usual recently. I'm going to sign it today or tomorrow because I won't be able to after surgery on dominant hand Wednesday morning!

How to tell me you’ve spent exactly zero time listening to what Kamala says and looking at her platform without telling me.

The media sane-washes Trump's speeches for policy positions, and then produces headlines that tamp down the crazy, or just ignore it. How many articles and editorials were there on Biden having an off night or "Harris not being detailed enough on policy/sitting with legacy journalists" vs Trump being a deranged and demented fucking lunatic?

The media famously likes to claim it can't set narratives, just follows them, but then goes and sets narratives by selectively and biasedly telling stories.

We're at the point where trump talking about Arnold Palmer's dick for 15 minutes just disappears like a fart in the wind after a couple days. That would be a death sentence for any other politician but the media just goes back to talking about how Kamala is having trouble reaching certain demographics and isn't "locking up the win".

Exactly. They could put the energy and headlines into spotlighting the insanity. Instead, it's theflyingpig "everyone knows this" treatment, and the crazy is glossed over.

Merrick Garland was a terrible choice by Biden, who was still under the illusion we needed to be as bipartisan as possible. I mean we knew what the Trump party was in 2020 and 2021, mid-stage modern American Nazis. You don't appoint a fucking wimp to AG. 90% of the R party were goners, why would you select some delicate patsy to AG when you needed a fucking hunter of justice? Absolutely worst AG pick.

Yeah, in a sane world they'd be running like 10 stories a day about how mentally incompetent trump is, you know like they did for Biden when he was making relatively minor gaffes.

If I recall, someone here said that Biden has privately expressed regret for choosing Garland. Maybe he didn't realize how feckless he'd be as AG.
