Looking for a quiet, non-power hungry (not sure if this possible??) card to drive four 55" 4k tv's that will be used a monitors...they will be wall mounted in a 2x2 configuration.

No gaming, just mainly photo editing..

I realize that most of these card will have one HDMI port and three display ports. Will using an active display port to HDMI adpater let me run the DP connection at 60hz?

If it matters, 5950X chip with 64GB memory and 600w power supply.

Would a 7800xt work for this?

Here is the case it will be going in (will replace the 1660 ti card LOL)...

Spec sheet for the Geforce 3050 says it should support 4K over the HDMI just fine, but I don't know enough about DP adapters to be sure if that part would work. If you want 4x Displayport, look into the RTX 2000 workstation card.

I've mentioned this before in other posts

It's possible to get MST adapters to duplicate Displayport... ports. Some go directly into HDMI even. As long as you get HDMI 2.0+ adapters you should be OK with 4k60 output.

Examples (Canadian sites) :

For the card, for video editing, you don't need anything too powerful, but I'm unsure of the VRAM requirements, but since you'll run multiple 4K display, maybe a minimum of 8GB of VRAM should be considered.

That should be a solid choice. Has more shaders and VRAM which would be better if your applications can use the video card for anything.

The nice thing about used Quadros is that they usually sat inside of some workstation or similar so there's a lot less risk of someone having run it into the ground with a gaming OC or mining on it for years straight.

Thanks for that....I don't mind paying a little more if it is worth it....

I think I am gonna get this guy:

Since you're not going to be gaming, Quadro M4000 (Maxwell 2.0) can do 4 x 4K/60 via DP 1.2 though. A few on the EE BAY right now for $75 ~ $100. Double check the connector outputs are 4 x DP, there is another configuration that has two + DVI.

Edit: Scratch that. Ridiculously, M4000 doesn't even do H.265 decoding in hardware. But Quadro M2000 does, as well as the same 4 x 4K/60 via DP 1.2. Plenty of them on "that site" for uber cheap less than $50.

NVIDIA now makes an absolutely tiny modern multi-display professional card as the RTX A400. It only has 768 CUDA Cores from the Ampere era. For comparison, the NVIDIA 3050 has over 2300 CUDA cores, so we're talking a fraction of the capability. Probably around an NVIDIA GT 1030. The benefit is with 4GB of RAM, an modern NVENC codec that supports encoding and decoding AV1, it's got much better offloading capabilities than an older Pascal era GPU. It's less than $175 brand new from any of the major business VARs like CDW, and has 4 DP 1.4a ports. It's qualified to be able to drive all 4 outputs simultaneously at 4K/120Hz or 5K/60Hz. This is what I would go with if I were buying a card for the purpose.

Ended up getting a 4060 TI 16GB card to drive one 65" and two 43" screens...used a pair of DP to HDMI adapters for the two small screens and all three screens are running at 60 hz..

Finally got around to wall mounting the monitors today and am pretty happy with the setup so far (still need to do some major cable management though)...anyone know if there is a site with backgrounds for this monitor setup??

The new Ultra 2 series CPUs support 4 video outputs fyi.

Edit: I missed the 4K part. From this page all RTX 30 series cards support 4 x 8K. I assume the same for RTX 40 series cards as well. (and AMD probably, too)
