Cant speak for 9950X, but my 9900X runs about ~5050MHz all core at 162W.What all-core frequency does the 9950X run at with CB R24 MT stock?
Well, you know the Turin is 40% better than the Genoa ! Zen 5 just kicks butt ! A lot of that is increased clock speed. With a smaller die size and improved clock speed as well as design thats where the 40% comes from. Now if I can just get my motherboard for my Turin, I could do some benchmarks and show you.can AMD stop making EXCELLENT CPUs!!!! /s
Why is the 9800X3D so gooood!! 27% increase over 7800X3D in GB6 ST @ 5.4GHz.
This is a 2 generation upgrade over my 7700X. Will I upgrade? I thought of upgrading when Zen6 is out but I will do it next year cause this is a massive improvement. This CPU will be killer for Flight sim 2024.
What CB R23 MT does it do at that frequency?
Lower freqs in R23 than R24. Does ~31.5K @162W, CCD0 (4.97G) gets a bit faster than CCD1 (4.88G). R23 more strenuous than R24, apparently.
Also, I ran Dolphin Bench 5.0. Apparently Zen 5 is the top dog in that benchmark. Wonder how Arrow Lake does?

Or it is just copy & paste from old Milan-X BIOS specs or documentation. This Asus "AMD TR5 Series BIOS Manual (English Edition)" which Videocardz cites is from December 2023 by the way.
Threadripper might be getting 3D V-Cache. Interesting.
My Dolphin Bench 5.0 run looks abnormally fast compared to the run shown above. Can you run yours to verify? I am using a +50MHz -20 CO offset on my 3 fastest CCD 0 cores, -10 offset on all CCD 1 cores but that still seems like something isnt right. I ran twice with identical score each time. From another thread, if anyone wonders ... not bad in light of other gaming results (regressed less than 3% )!

Maybe you got an abnormally good sample? My Dolphin Bench 5.0 run looks abnormally fast compared to the run shown above.
Crap. That's just gonna guarantee out of stock and scalper problems unless AMD takes specific actions to ensure widespread stock availability.9800X3D @5.5Ghz
I dont think my sample is anything special based on CPU-z, Cinebench 23 & 24, its right there with other reviews results, even a bit lower in some cases. My 3500/22K GB6 score was tuned up a bit, my daily low effort default PPT (162W) optimized settings are ~3475/21.5K. I just want to make sure nothing fishy is going on with my test here. The difference between mine and the other chart posted seems to be more than margin of error.Maybe you got an abnormally good sample?
How about trying with only one CCD at a time? Is there a performance variation between the two CCDs?
Also, you should submit your result here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thre...enchmark-results-automatically-updated--45007
hence the reason for $479Crap. That's just gonna guarantee out of stock and scalper problems unless AMD takes specific actions to ensure widespread stock availability.
Where is the link to see where all these Zen 5 ?? I want to see the master list from the source. And the source post where I can run this myself ?From another thread, if anyone wonders ... not bad in light of other gaming results (regressed less than 3% )!

Based on the average clockspeed for each core as indicated in your HWinfo screenshot your Zen 5 is producing 545.8 points/GHz in CB R23 MT.From another thread, if anyone wonders ... not bad in light of other gaming results (regressed less than 3% )!

Knowing AMD, wouldn't they start with porting Genoa-X over as a Threadripper product? Starting with Turin-X would be unexpected.i think its more viable now with the improvements to clock rate with zen5s new cache die arrangement. TR always had very boost clocks compared to full on server parts.
Pittance for those used to shelling out the big bucks for Intel KS CPUs.hence the reason for $479
We'll there's always the 9950X3D or maybe a 9950X3D2Pittance for those used to shelling out the big bucks for Intel KS CPUs.
AMD's plan: Get enthusiasts to snap up 9800X3D at launch due to FOMO. Same enthusiasts then sell their 9800X3D for 9950X3D in a few months. We'll there's always the 9950X3D or maybe a 9950X3D2
And we can’t forget about the potential 9950X3R2D2.We'll there's always the 9950X3D or maybe a 9950X3D2
