Lowes is maybe 20 miles from me (got my bedroom window A/C unit there, 16' extension ladder too, IIRC). A HD about 3 miles, another is 5 miles. Heard that guy wasn't in control of HD for some time now, but was aware he was a big Trump supporter. I rarely go in a HD these days.

I have one I found, never bought one.

for some reason my lowes is always out of shit that i need on the day that i needed it. sprinker heads, certain size wood boards, spray foam cans, you named it when i try to go there it's always fricking out then i have to waste my time going to HD or the Ace near me.... they do a terrible job with their inventory. I've never had a problem with any other lowes in my life besides this one.

Lowe's and HD are both very close to me, and this asshat is--ok, was-- the main reason I usually go to Lowe's despite it costing me a bit more. It helps that Lowe's is more organized easier to shop in.

I don't go out of my way to know the political bent of CEOs and owners. Most I'm sure are for the GOP and/or religious fuckwads who are for bigotry. The GOP is by, and for, the rich after all. For me to actually hear about it, they are being assholes in public about it. See also Chick Fil A and Hobby Lobby, I don't give any of them my money. Same with Tesla moving forward, I'm all for electric cars (we have solar on our house) but while they are run by that walking pile of shit Musk, nope. If Kid Rock or Ted Nugent made non-shitty music, I wouldn't buy it, as it is they make that decision damn easy... No big deal, there are always alternatives.

I'm sure those companies could care less about one Joe Shmoe not buying from them. Then again it's cost me nothing. Giving up Amazon Prime I admit would be tough.

I'm sure that makes me part of the "cancel culture" that right-wingers are always bleating about, meanwhile they are boycotting Bud Light and others for not being bigots. All of us can let our opinions known with our wallets, and I'll continue to do so, so suck it Trebek.

I tend to shop at Lowes over Home Depot because Lowes carries the furnace filters I want and Lowes' lumber is slightly less warped and twisted than Home Depot's. I can't claim political virtue in the decision because that would mean that I remember anything about the HD guy and that I know anything about Lowes' owners' political activities, which I don't.

The quality and selection compared to the Lowe's near me is unacceptable. A silly loss leading 11% rebate is not gonna get me to drive 15 minutes out of my way to get me in their store.
