If Trump gets crushed our saving grace will always be how enormously inept he and his campaign are and always have been. I mean, conservatives/Republicans have been increasingly inept in general, but nobody, and I mean nobody, does inept better than Trump. Big league amateurs.

Nah.. I'm convinced he had better campaign staff than Kam did.. they kept Trump from being Trump for ALMOST the entire election.. navigating each sand trap, but that MSG rally.. I'm sure he and Stephen Miller overruled them and that could be the 1 thing that costs him.

Because honestly if you asked me 10 days ago.. who would win.. I'd say Trump would win (he still can).. but now at least Kam has a legitimate shot at it!

Also that pick of Vance over Uncle Tom (Tim Scott) from SC..

Yep. Republicans could have had a layup of an election, but they decided to scatter about a ton of rakes for themselves to step on.
If Republicans legitimately lose and they don't finagle a win from the court systems, it'll be the most dramatic failure of politicking in history. Just transcendent levels of failure.

It has been an enduring source of frustration for me that so few of the pieces that (I think correctly) discuss how voters are mad about inflation do not mention that it's the near-universal evaluation of economists that Trump's policies would make inflation much, much worse. That seems like highly relevant information!
Also the same people that blame Biden for inflation don't know/refuse to acknowledge the entire world was hit with inflation. How could that have been Biden's fault? Can't even blame it on stimulus spending because BOTH Biden and Trump did rounds of stimulus.

Their primary voters will have failed by choosing the most unlikeable punchable POS in modern history over Nikki Haley who would have walked away with it.

I don't know, I think the main difference was when he went from what he perceived to be coasting to victory. When he started fearing a loss is when he seems to have had the same answer he always does which is to go his own way and stop listening.

I think you can point to Harris taking over the nomination as the point at which Trump went back off the rails. Then again, that time of year also coincides with increased media attention to the campaign so part of it could just be people remembering that Trump is literally insane.

Some woman in PA picked up and I asked for her by name, she said 'this is she and I already voted' lol She knew what I was calling about. She knew the assignment.

I've reached three people who definitely voted for Kamala but they would not say it out loud but they just hinted at it. They were nervous to reveal their vote. But one woman was willing to say, well I love Kamala so does that make sense?

Being honest I am still extremely concerned that dozens maybe hundreds of people spread around strategic locations will decide that the majority of the public must suffer.
I am very concerned about this election.

Above is the way we need to look at the electoral college going forward, it’s a mechanic that allows few to decide what we all will get. Imagine if 42% of the country wants the other 58% to suffer.

i think Pete understands the big picture of making change. you might not always get what you want, but you can help move the needle forward. I really hope Harris picks him up as part of her administration assuming she wins. He's clearly shown how incredibly skillful he is as a communicator. Maybe he's Secretary of Transportation again? Maybe he's in a more visible, more communication-oriented position?

A few more years in a cabinet or other high level position, then maybe a Senate run, and I think he'd be well-positioned experience wise to be a good VP or presidential candidate.

Taylor Swift put out a nice get out the vote reminder to her insane number of followers online. Also Billie Eilish basically told her massive audience at a concert in Atlanta the other night to go vote.

Early yet but nice comparison of voting today vs voting in 2022 in Clark County, NV - looks good for D's today so far

That’s a huge difference in independents. Are they disaffected Republican voters or anti Trump voters or could they be “burn it all down, both sides” voters? I’m leaning towards the first two options.

Just spoke to a guy in PA, he said he already voted this morning, and I'm the third person to call him about voting. I apologized and he said no, thank you for making the calls, it's so important. He said it's great to see that the campaign is on point.

Nobody can compete with the Dem ground game, certainly not the Elon outsourced Trump party. Also Lara who took over the RNC took away money from the ground game and probably spent it on legal bills lol

Automatic voter registration defaults people to non-partisan in NV. These are overwhelmingly likely to be new/younger voters.

Edit: I should say the massive growth in NPA instead of them necessarily as a whole. Probably a lot more Dem leaning than used to be.

Everything I read from PA indicates a massive nearly suffocating Harris presence. While Trump turnout effort basically non-existent.

How is change possible in a nation where billions in propaganda are spent putting people to sleep and making sure they stay that way? How is change possible when truth looks like the words of the devil? Before any political solutions can be found won’t we first have to feel deserving enough to really want them? Aren’t we right where we want to be? Isn’t it a fact we want others to wake up but we can’t? Bet then, what would sleepers know about anything?

Great work. Before I got on biologics for psoriatic arthritis, my plantar fascitis was horrendous.

I am with James Carville on this. I don’t believe Trump will win. I stopped worrying about a long time ago.
