- You know a thought crossed my mind... is there a time limit for how long someone can spend in the voting booth?
Couldn't you theoretically shut down a whole polling station by having 10 dudes show up and just occupy the machines for really long stretches of time until people give up and go home?
Interesting question and I do not know.
I live where you get handed a paper ballot and that ballot goes into a scanner box, I feel this is a superior way to handle voting.
In the unlikely event someone tried to do this we would simple fill out the ballot elsewhere.
Also you’d need 10 dudes who live in that voting district which sort of puts skin in the game. I kind of suspect it would be hard being one of those guys going forward.
Also it sounds like fuck around and find out territory. Because at some point an election worker will ask them to stand aside and take a handout while so they can decide without stopping the process. Also even if police are not needed it will become a game of nerves because once you are in line to vote you cannot be removed from that line. There is no time limit.
