GA and NC should be ones to watch closely over the next 3-4 hours, expect to have around 95-98% complete count tonight.

All the other swing states expect to have large blocks of votes uncounted until tomorrow or later, and early returns will likely be highly misleading.

At least the NC gov going down is promising. Hope there isn't much split ticket voting because I'm not expecting Harris to get the rust belt sweep of MI/WI/PA that would get her to 270 outright.

On the other hand, R's voted earlier this year in larger numbers than in 2020, there were actually more Republicans voting early than Dems in NV, so the Dems potentially have some catchup to do. Although with 30-40% of the state not registered by party, it is hard to draw conclusions from any of the voting by party data there.

The total number of votes there are nothing compared to urban areas though
From what I understand is Georgia exceeding the 2020 vote so, until the big blue areas reporting it’s going to be hard to tell but Georgia should be done counting tonight so we will know soon enough.
Oh I concur. That’s why I mentioned the urban and suburban areas. She needs to overperform nonethless.

These other states being mentioned have waaay too early results. It’s going to take time for any solid understanding of how the race will play out.

She's underperforming in VA too.
im not really seeing it , got to think on these large countys that are surrounded by heavy rural , the edge of the county is likely to report first and thus over time i would expect the high vote countys to go more blue.

That's ignoring the impact of early voting because that just to hard for me to factor in with your shit election system.

Biden really should have run in 2016 to stop Trump before he could get started but no it was fucking Clinton's turn and now we're going to lose our republic because of it.
Well you're sorta seeing the same thing with Kamala, feels like that forced candidate. Granted it was under extraordinary circumstances where a late primary may not have been feasible, but Democrats did this to themselves by gaslighting everyone about Biden's true condition until the very last minute.

And the whole forum shit on me last year for saying we should have had a real primary to pick a candidate.

NBC just showed Trump and Harris over performing compared to 2020 in GA in historically red and blue counties.

I’ll remind folks that rural conservative counties tend to have fewer votes and their counts come in earlier versus urban liberal counties which tend to have more voters and slower counts.
Yup. Do remember Trump screaming in 2020 about how far in the lead he was, and how democrats kept 'discovering' (counting) votes.

R's lead in the beginning, and either hold the lead or get squashed at the end.

Yeah it would have been a great idea to watch a half dozen democrats tear each other apart, and give the republicans all the ammunition they needed to actually fight, rather than fucking couches and blabbering about brown people eating dogs for 3 months.

Meh I'm in MD and I remember in 2020 how close VA was in early reportings and I was like wtf and then the numbers came in from Northern VA and he got completely crushed. I expect that same thing to happen this time.

I'm talking about a year ago when you could have run a real primary. The DNC party leaders are clear as day out of touch with American voters.

The MSM and Fox News did a great job of propping up Trump. I am beginning to think the anecdotal Republican Harris voters has just been gaslighting all along.

foxnews actually has a pretty good map and you can drill down by county, for whoever asked for it.

I always thought the "Republicans for Harris" camp was overstated. They will almost all hit the GOP button when inside the booth.

Last election (although much later than this) the NYT predictions really claimed me down. Right now they look like shit

FWIW I'm reading mostly disappointing news for Harris. Trump doing historically well with Latinos. Harris not winning NH or VA with same margins as Biden did.

Because I just scribble my “signature,” every couple of years, my signature doesn’t match at the county election office…so, today,I drove to the county office, took my ballot inside and talked to the head of the election office. ( just a coincidence…the other office staff was busy helping other people. He took one look at the signature on the ballot…compared it to what they have on file…”nope, this one would get rejected.” He had me fill out another signature form, that sig matched the one on the ballot closely enough…
For the “u important” elections, I don’t really care if it gets rejected…primaries, local elections, etc…but this one is important enough I wanted my vote to count.
