Sad thing is I think most of his voters are too fucking stupid to even suffer buyers remorse once he does the things he said he'd do.
It was fun while it lasted.
Yeah after at least four decades of failed Reaganomics, people still think the GOP is better at the economy.
I want to be crystal clear that overcoming this problem isn't easy, and I have no solutions or magic bullets. I'm not blaming Dems for not solving the messaging problem, because maybe you can't solve people's stupidity.
I think it was in the SOTU thread where
@SteveGrabowski shit talked the economy, and others basically called him crazy. I find Steve very reasonable and astute in certain areas, so he had reasons for seeing things the way he does.* My point is there are hordes of voters who are convinced that Trump's 2019 economy was superior to 2024, and today they spoke loudly. Quite obviously, if the economy is the literal envy of our peers, there was a disconnect with the electorate that Harris never solved.
A lot of people in ATPN are upper middle class, and they are doing quite well. It's hard to understand that the lower middle class isn't vibing the same way about Bidenomics.
* Look up his Electoral College prediction in the other thread. It's pretty damn close. Meanwhile, other people were predicting Kamala cruising to an easy W.
