Is it just me, or has anyone noticed the sudden barrage of depression medication adds on TV News channels on TV right after Trump declared victory?

And with Trump in charge, deflation will never happen. He won't hold corporations responsible.
And inflation will skyrocket with tariffs.

Uhh..... while massive inflation is nothing to celebrate of course, you do realize that deflation is... oh... about 10 billion times worse than inflation, right?

But here you are, cheering it on as if it would be a good thing that we should desire.....

When prices don’t go down (because they never do unless there is an economic crises), I’m sure they won’t be wondering why.
We are not arguing the same thing.

If someone says that prices are insane for him and that inflation was hard on him, and then you say "well we solved inflation they won't get any crazier!" do you think that he'll say "thanks for solving inflation" or vote for the other candidate?

When prices won't go down in the Trump admin, they'll probably blame the Dems as they always do.

So it looks like we sane people have been driven back to our blue states. Great idea, a convicted vindictive easily manipulated felon for president.

Oh, this is gonna be "fun". Watching from Eastern Europe, seems like America voted with their asses. Can't believe they would vote for a rapist and a senile. Oh well. Will see in 2025 if "project 2025" was a reality or just scarecrow. If it is, it's gonna be double the fun to se people discovering how tariffs work and how women don't have bodily autonomy. Step be step.

Too slow to realize I was talking about corporate greed.. and price gouging.
And the main point being that prices can never go anywhere but up with tariffs. But you probably believe Trump when he says China pays them?

Well it sure does look like a lot of folks who voted for Trump was smitten with the revenge bug for unjustifiably "tormenting Trump" by holding him accountable for his crimes. I guess they felt his inciting an insurrection wasn't a big deal, nor was it a problem for him to have absconded top secret gov't documents and "whatevers".

What's interesting to me after viewing Trump supporters being interviewed was how the major network interviewers never confronted them with stuff like "does it bother you at all that Trump is a convicted felon and sex abuser?"

And could it be that so many Trump voters just couldn't stomach the idea of a woman POTUS, having their memories of Hillary on the cusp of becoming one still fresh in their minds?

Bottom line, it seems to me the folks who voted for Trump wanted a win more than anything else and absolutely do not care of the consequences of their actions, nor will they hold themselves accountable for any bad thing that Trump does to the nation and our allies and I do say this with conviction having witnessed it over and over again over the last ten years or so.

That being said, I still have a home entertainment setup to finish building, bills to pay, people like Trump to ignore and life goes on. Even with Trump on his revenge tour and his henchmen running around with axes to grind and fulfilling dreams of riches to be made by sucking it all out of the middle class, I still believe the nation will survive and recover from Trump's nation wrecking business.

It's just too bad that millions of people never learned a single thing about Trump's previous stay at the White House except the fact that after all of that mayhem he caused, the nation deserves another trip down that rabbit hole.

Lastly, something else I've learned and this is the last time I'll mention it, the "Free Press", the noble Fourth Estate and bulwark against the tyranny of a hostile gov't ain't so free after all, given what I've just witnessed over these past few months. There was a disingenuous yet effective con job being pulled by the major networks on the public that I will henceforth keep a wary eye on.

Obviously.

The point being is that while 2.5% inflation on top of the already accumulated 30%+ inflation is much more desired, that doesn't mean wages were adjusted to account for that. That doesn't mean people's grocery bills adjusted. That doesn't mean people's credit card bills adjusted to help them out.
And which of Trump's policies will take prices back to 2019 or bring wages up accordingly?

The poster you quoted wasn't cheering for deflation, merely pointing out the ignorance of those that voted based on their misunderstanding of the concepts.

But don't worry - because YOU have it all correct.

All of your thoughts are the correct ones.

All of your policies are the only ones that can succeed.

For you know what is best for everyone.

But hey, since you're talking about war - how many were started under Trumps last go-around?

Well there's that really big one against our own gov't he's been waging that his supporters have been dutifully ignoring for the last eight years or so. But I guess that's what folks do when they want the very same things that Trump wants. Are you in that same crowd by chance? Do you want Trump to start implementing Project 2025 he and so many of his supporters are denying it exists yet hoping for it to happen? Would be nice to know where you're coming from.

Oh one last thing, I didn't know there were so many stupid fucking idiots out there that were armed with the right to vote that behaved exactly as a five year old would waving around a loaded and cocked Dirty Harry Special that he brought to school for show and tell. "Ehhh, lookit me, lookit me, I show you how this thing works."

Lol. I like how you think that you're immune to the policies that the senile sack of trouser chutney is going to implement!
If you think stuff is expensive now wait till Trumps tariffs fuck you in the arse!
I guess that you can feel smug watching a bunch of billionaires get richer while you get shafted because at least you got to get one over on the libs!
Enjoy that at least but try not to dwell on the next 4 years being partly your fault!

Pretty astonishing that Steve Bannon was right all along. Months ago he claimed that Trump would win large % of Hispanic and Black men, and he did.

He also said that if the GOP continues to win with these demographics, they "would rule for 100 years."

I don't think he's wrong.

Why is that astonishing? Who has suffered more because of inflation? Who has more to lose from immigration? Usually, lower income demographics. Yes, Trump is a POS and a racist, but the current administration hasn't done enough for them. Instead, people here are saying that "they just don't understand inflation" and "inflation is solved".

Standards to what? I would never vote for Trump, but Dem messaging has been terrible, and Harris was just not the best candidate. I think that she was the correct play when Biden resigned though, but that's more on Biden than Harris.

The Popular Vote, the Electoral College, the Senate, the House. Truly, the Democrat defeat today is comprehensive.

Financial hardship shouldn't require turning your neighbours into scapegoats.
