Since you are a sudden believer in democracy NY is now free to sentence Trump since he was convicted in a Democratic court of law

Point being we have a Democracy that elected

Racism
Corruption
Misogyny
Incompetence
Criminality

Also that Democracy we know now will end Jan 20 2025
Your last line is my entire point. You don't like or want democracy if the majority aren't voting the way you want them to. You want the democracy where only the people who share your beliefs are allowed to vote.
The U.S. had nearly four years of Biden and Harris and weren't happy with the result. Joe is senile, Harris is unable or unwilling to articulate a coherent statement, so Trump won. You can rehash all the old talking points you want, but it always comes down to the people elected the president they want.

America voted, and now everyone has to live with the decisions. While I don't foresee as much doom and gloom as some of you, let's hope Democrats learn that identity politics and policies that offend old white folks but highlight small minorities such as transgender rights aren't the ticket for actually winning. It's always about the economy, stupid.

Easy answer: None. So many of them who have felt the rush of victory will simply walk away from the monster they resurrected because winning was all that mattered to them. And they have the added convenience of blaming everything their monster will do on everyone else but themselves.

They conveniently ignored every single bad thing Felon Trump and his fellow convicted crooks committed over the years and have absolutely no guilt over it. None at all. What makes normally decent religiously pious folks turn a blind eye to the travesties of justice Trump and his goons committed I'll never really understand.

They just simply don't care what the consequences of their actions will do to them after the dirty deed is done because "USA!USA!USA!USFuck'inA! God has Spoken!"
Everything I typed was rhetorical because I know these fuckers will never take responsibility for what they have done.
Fox News will say it was the Dems and be lauded by millions
The Reich could hold every seat in the House and Senate and the idiots would believe that the evil Demonrats somehow caused it all from the concentration camps that their God-Emperor put them in.
Sorry I was refining my dog bbq recipe.
What do you do to take care of the stringiness?

I think his point was that electing a convicted felon and rapist who tried to overthrow the government and then stole top secret information was bad.

You think that is good, and that’s on you. Remember we asked you to explain why you preferred the rapist/coup attempt guy but you refuse to answer.

Technically correct but the lesson politicians will take is going to be that you should not do a big fiscal stimulus in the face of a historic economic challenge and basically just let the country ride it out on their own.

That’s not what I said. A Democracy means everyone is subject to the rule of law

That ends Jan 20 2025 when Trump makes all his federal cases go away and he pardons all the white J6 insurrectionists

White men under Trump get the get out of jail free card

In your new Democracy you can beat cops within an inch of their lives and suffer no consequences if you are white

Yup, what our electorate doesn't understand, and seems like will never understand, is that Democrats have not been given enough power to affect significant change in the last 5 decades except for the small window when they barely eeked out the ACA.

What part of the president cannot be prosecuted for anything he calls an official act is hard to understand?
He can't decree a constitutional amendment. What part of that can't you understand. He can be prevented from being prosecuted, BFD.

LOL! It's like you don't know your own posting history on this very subject. Your total support of the EC system in the face of democracy is well known. You hate democracy, period.

At any rate, the treasonous shitbags you support won so chin up, it's time for leopards to eat your face.

I think all the Trump 3rd term bullshit is asinine—kinda of a moot point when MAGA is now the standard-bearer for the Republican Party. There will be no shortage of JD Vances or Trump Juniors running for office in federal/state/local elections for the next decade at least.

JD Vance: "Dare the Chief Justice to stop you."

I just don't understand how you can underestimate a guy who said he will jail his opponents and is 100% completely above the law to do so. He is telling you what he's going to do and you do not believe him. Lotta good Germany's constitution did to reign in Hitler.
Have you heard of due process?

The lesson I have learned in all of this is that Americans are dumber than a box of rocks. I used to think that we were just slightly stupid, but I underestimated our collective stupidity as a nation.

Next time there is a pandemic I say fuck it let millions of idiots sacrifice themselves for the sake of a few billionaires' fortunes.

Why would I answer? No one here would accept whatever I said. Now the question is moot, the majority decided that the person you see as a horrible monster was a better choice than Harris. Get over it, I have.

Who here is suggesting we throw out democracy because we didn't like the result?

We can not like the result and still like democracy. If McCain or Romney were elected we'd probably not be too happy but they also didn't try to overthrow the fucking government

To be stupid is one thing.

To be stupid and just not care/ be proud of it is another!

It’s funny that once again you’re asking why people ask you to discuss your views on a discussion board.

As to how I view Trump it’s true that I view him as a monster but my views are not what matters here. He has been found by juries of his peers to be a felon and a rapist. He also, by your own admission, attempted a coup.

Your stated preference is for felons and rapists and it’s perfectly reasonable to ask why you like rapists.

The Constitution is just paper if it's not enforced, just like every other law. Trump can literally say 'I'm suspending the Constitution, either I or Vance will be king of America from now on' and if nothing happens the next day, it's as concrete as the foundations of the Earth.
I think you will find that the Constitution is more than just a piece of paper going forward and that neither Don or JD will be king.
