. It only seems to change the person you think I am.
Of course how you vote affects the person people think you are. If you vote for a fascist, people are going to, quite reasonably, think that you're a fascist. If you vote for a person who ran a wildly hateful campaign, people can reasonably suppose that you support that candidate's wildly hateful policy agenda.

I agree with your sentiments here. Except for this. Lumping me or anyone else into a group simply for voting for one person in an election while never engaging in any conversation with them isn't helpful at all. And you'll never convince them to join forces with you by doing so. Voting for Trump doesn't make me intolerant. I choose how to treat people, my vote doesn't dictate how I treat people. The person I voted for doesn't dictate how I treat people. The way people treat me (warranted or not) doesn't dictate how I treat people. Just like your vote doesn't dictate how you (or others here) treat people. Being intolerant when it fits a political narrative doesn't make it right.

No I just made an observation. Like I mentioned above I don't let the candidate I vote for dictate how I treat people. Voting for Trump or Kamala doesn't change the person I am. It only seems to change the person you think I am.
You can't vote to strip away people's rights and then expect them to be respectful of you

Why do you not care about any of the names MAGAs call liberals? Trump literally calling Dems the enemy from within.

I know it's because you only notice the things that victimize your team, but you enjoy when the other team is victimized.

He already said why, he “doesn’t look for it”. Head in the sand is his motto.

So you came here complaining about random strangers bullying you on the internet, while voting for a person who bullies people in real life into the most powerful position in the world. Think about that for a minute and maybe you'll see why we get angry at people like you and call you out for who you are.

The right is blind to hypocrisy, they are totally unaware when they act hypocritically.

The people you vote for and the policies you support absolutely define you as a person. I don't give a fuck how nice you are to my face if you're going to put someone in power who wants to strip away the rights of minorities and the people I care about.

Enjoy the next 4 years I guess. I just hope that Trump doesn't get to do the things he said he was going to do for your sake. Unfortunately there doesn't seem anyone to stop him.
4?

Vance, and the rest of the crazies are going to wait 2 years then 25th amendment him, and become president, and then be eligible to run for another 2 terms.

The massive inflation bomb Trump campaigned on will effect him.
He will compensate by charging Secret Service even higher rates when at his golf resorts, where he will again be spending a great deal of time.

Him spending time at the golf resort instead of attempted governing is probably for the best, not that the people he has brought into his orbit are any good anyway.

That is some seriously sick and twisted shit.

To everyone who voted for him:
I sincerely hope the rest of us never have to say “we told you so!” I hope we get to laugh off all the doom and gloom predictions about this election 4 years from now. I hope we’re all better off in 4 years than we are now.
And then we can buy everyone on the planet a puppy..

Maybe you want to give evil a free pass, but I refuse to.
He is not a con man. He told everyone exactly who he is and what he stands for and they loved him for it. Americans are, as a whole, stupid and cruel. They just want someone to blame and he gave them that.
Yeah, that's pretty much what Jim Jones did too.

Have you read the absolutely vile and awful things the liberals on this forum are saying about conservatives? Pot, meet kettle. I've been quietly reading the posts on here for the last few months and for a party that claims love and tolerance all I see is hate. And what's interesting to me is that the forum states that personal attacks are not allowed, yet in here they are all left for everyone to read and pile on. It's pretty disgusting to be honest.
Sorry Spanky.

We will never be tolerant of your intolerance.

Here's a scary scenario to consider. "Under the 20th Amendment, if a president-elect dies, his or her running mate, the vice president-elect, becomes president." Good reason to keep Trump alive. Vance would be far worse than Trump. I think the master plan was to almost immediately invoke the 25th amendment to make Vance President. And if they can't do that they may help Trump otherwise depart this realm. Of course Trump could depart this world any day after eating a hamburger. Biden should use his newly given powers to stop Trump from taking office in some sort of official act that is 'for the good of the country and to save democracy in the US'.
To add to this, I am personally glad to have Trump as president than Ron Desantis or Nikki Haley. Either of them would likely have won vs. Biden or Harris.

Prior to this election, my guess would have been that if Trump wasn't leading the GQP then what I believed to be an almost pure personality cult would die in short order.

IMO he's still a "tear it down" "anti-establishment" candidate, the kind of person that a tantrum'ing child would vote for because they're not interested in evidence, sense and reason. I don't know whether the collective tantrum requires a piper like Trump to capitalise on it or whether people will be duped by any old bullshit these days despite the fact that they're annoyed because of politicians bullshitting them while lining their own pockets and those of their donors.

See the contract with America, see the reaction to the ACA. Conservatives are easily outraged o the benefit the GOP donor class.

Why the fuck do you care what happens here in the USA? Tend to your igloos...and stay out of our business.
There are several fellows from other country's that regularly post here and I don't recall you giving them the brush off.

We have very similar issues as the US. Mass immigration, cost of living, drug epidemic, crime epidemic, housing shortage etc. And Poilievre is similar to Trump, in that he wants to fix those things. So it's nice to see that people are finally voting for common sense, instead of feelings.

Whether or not Trump fixes those things is another story but at least by him winning, it shows it's what the people want. Hopefully he actually does do some good though.

What Trump wants is another matter and how he decides.

He didn't make any progress in 2017-2018 so why would he suddenly make progress now? You can choose to believe in concepts of a plan but the rest of us know better than that. I can't wait for infrastructure week.

Proposal to change OP's name to RubeSquirrel.

Some people only care about theatrics, and don't actually care about results. Half the stuff the OP lists are things local governments could have taken action on (eg, housing and providing space for migrants goes hand in hand), but haven't thanks to entrenched local property holders, and other items listed have been falling (at least in the US).

Many of these people literally voted for Trump because their feelings were hurt because one time they think Biden called them garbage and they wailed "see, SEE!!!" lol and they think Trump is one of them. Democrats need to learn that they need to lie to get elected.
