I had a theory prior to yesterday morning that the Republican party was going to eat itself, because the more extreme they got, the more they alienated the large percentage of their base for a few extremists. Turns out I was completely fucking wrong, and so are you. Their voters aren't rewarding them in spite of their behavior, they want it. There's a larger voter base off to the right of where they already are (how far, we'll find out).No, because the voters keep rewarding them, no matter how awful their conduct. I mean, the voters still almost rewarded them in 2020 despite bungling COVID. Yet the Democrats are the ones who have to be perfect?
The problem is the voters. And it's not getting better.

I'm going to wait for the Pew and Catalist surveys to come out before drawing too many conclusions about what happened inside the electorate at this level. Exit polls are often meaningfully off. Also "voters of color" is a terrible metric to use because it really obscures the exact dynamic of how people of different racial makeups voted. Like I expect how black people voted to be way different than how hispanic people voted and also in the latter significant differences based on extraction/region.
It's not a secret around a diverse place like NYC.. if you live here, and "listen" to people around you.
The Latinos don't like Kamala because Trump's gonna be good on the economy, less taxes and it's always black people making problems and Biden let them in.
