Remindme in one weekThe ship has sailed on Zen 5 already. I think the demand will be down for 9800x3d after a week. They really should set the price at $399. People building new systems or buying new computers have largely left the PC market.
People do not understand how important MC is going to be to DIY retail. They are constantly expanding on the basis of it. Because unlike Circuit City, COMPUSA, Fry's, and all of the others on the ash heap of history, they are winning on price. They basically use the loss leader COSTCO and Sam's Club strategy to get you in store. Sought after parts may as well be rotisserie chickens and $1.50 hot dog and drink combos.Micro Centers in the US still have it. At MSRP.

Do you now understand my comment about how i was surprised over the low stock fmax of only 5225mhz ?On the contrary, they appear to be using quite normal, or even R5 quality CCDs-- which could very well explain why they chose a 5.2 max listed boost when it apparently could have easily been 5.5. Had CCDs to move, lol.
Looks like it's the opposite, those are 9600X level bins. lmaoAre they using golden silicon with the 9800x3D? Eg. high clocks requiring low voltage?
Business people would call this being smart.Looks like it's the opposite, those are 9600X level bins. lmao

9950x is $599, free shipping at newegg or amazon. why wait ?It makes the enthusiast in me want to cancel and wait for the 9950X to get some better bin CCD's. First world problems

They made a lot of X3Ds last gen and eventually discounted them too. But selling out on launch day seems normal when it's the only respectable gaming CPU released this year.AMD: Don't make enough 9800X3Ds, sells out instantly
Also AMD: Make too many GPUs, product sits on shelf for years until they discount it heavily
What never change is that some are stuck on the same old urban legends.AMD: Don't make enough 9800X3Ds, sells out instantly

Never Change, lol.

If it was in stock, it isn't now.How does the situation look on AMD.com for the 9800X3D? Is their online shop selling it? I can't see coz they have put some kind of geo-blocker on their shop page.
OK, now that's fishy...If it was in stock, it isn't now.
They have hardware solutions to that problem but Strix Halo doesn't have it.Let's hope AMD's software geniuses come up with a solution for that
Yes indeed.Do you now understand my comment about how i was surprised over the low stock fmax of only 5225mhz ?
