PCgeek says the criticisms of trump were empty of substance lol

This is why it's just fun to literally call you what you are rather than try to have any conversation with you - you have never gotten better, you never get better - you are incapable of being better. Lots of people here have spent time talking to you point by point - but you just can't help but being a turd that the rest of us sane people have to step in sometimes and gag.

I've been trying to think of bigger Dem fuckups on the scale of letting Biden steamroll a primary in my entire lifetime - and I'm having a hard time thinking of one that is definitely worse.

This is a mistake that is quite possibly the worst I've seen in decades really.

Biggest mistake was allowing Joe Biden to continue in his mental decline for so long before admitting the truth to themselves.

Second biggest mistake was putting up an empty (pant) suited airhead that did not have any policies to run on except "I'm not Trump or Biden" and repeating empty statements ad nauseam with no substance.

lol

geek is fine with almost all the horribleness of Donald Trump, and his clear massive mental decline, because he likes what Trump is going to do. He is a card carrying Trump party member. expecting PCGeek to have standards that aren't double is like expecting pig shit to fly.

No I didn't say that at all.

For the reading challenged, What I did say was:

Second biggest mistake was putting up an empty (pant) suited airhead that did not have any policies to run on except "I'm not Trump or Biden" and repeating empty statements ad nauseam with no substance.

Where were the Democrats with any vision, to push that fucker out. His legacy is forever tarnished.

The majority of literal Democrats didn't want him to run again. Sure I know the masses aren't always right, but fucking read a room and read his unpopularity ratings and see the backlash against incumbencies, And literally just have looked at the actual man himself, he was declining rapidly. And you let fucking Biden remove our chance to select a new leader to go against trump?

Fuck you Joe Biden. And fuck any Democrats like the chair of the DNC who pushed for him to be able to do that. And to any Democratic politician who advised behind the scenes that Biden should go, you are the people that should take charge now.

Fuck these old fossils with their antiquated way of thinking. The should all be purged from the party.

That would not have guaranteed a win but it would have definitely given us a much better chance overall.
Could be wrong, but IMHO it wouldn't have mattered. We'd be here right now with a failed run, talking about how the primaries saw Democrats tearing each other apart, giving Trump and Vance ammo, and wasting time that could have been spent campaigning had the Democrats just come together behind one candidate.

Shit people always talk about how Republicans speak with one voice, and here you had everyone get in lock step behind Kamala yet everyone's got a problem with it in hindsight.

I understand why you sound so jaded, but, our best shot was having a primary. By no means am I saying it would have guaranteed a win, but it would have guaranteed we didn't end up how utterly fucked we ended up as we can all see now. It guaranteed at least a much better process. So what if Dems criticized each other. That happens every primary.

No they can't. He is above the law not in any figurative sense but in a literal sense after the SC ruling. This is over, Trump is the nation's king. It's the wildest copium ever to believe even our former Potemkin democracy can survive a king accountable to no one. He can murder his opponents now. This is not random leftist dumbass on the internet's opinion: this is Sotomayor's official opinion in her dissent to the Trump Vs United States ruling. He can throw out votes he doesn't like now. He could run in 2028 on having never had a bowel movement and getting 11 holes in one the first time he played a round of golf and he'll win with 94% of the vote.
Lol! settle down Beavis! Trump isn't "king" of shit. There will be no unelected monarchy in the US. He's going to "murder his opponents"? Yeah, let's see if he gets away with something like that. Trump isn't running in 2028. He might not even be alive by then. And if he is, his cognitive decline will be more than it is now.

He may try to promote Don jr to run after him. But in reality, Trump doesn’t care about his children, apart from Ivanka and then only in a creepy way. He’s ironically too selfish and narcissistic to create a dynasty; his children are not him, and therefore are unimportant. His relationship with them, like his relationship with everyone else, is purely transactional. What he wants is to be adored while alive and after he dies. If his kids end up drunken failures, that’ll just highlight his awesomeness even further. Planning a hereditary dynasty requires rational acknowledgement of one’s mortality, since it’s fundamentally about guiding what happens when one is gone, and Trump is so pathologically self-centered that he can’t imagine a world without himself in it.

Trump himself may not be planning this, for all the reasons discussed above, but I have little doubt his spawn are thinking about how to do it. They have never accomplished anything that didn’t involve riding daddy’s coattails, so this will just be more of the same.

Now, his cult may see the Trump name as the ticket to undying power, and may be making plans to elevate the kids and ride them as far as they’ll go. But cults of personality have a way of evaporating when the subject is gone, so I’d expect a self-destructive knife fight on the Right within a couple of years of the Trumps demise.

It's a worldwide phenomenon. So money is the most important thing to people in this world. Nothing else matters, even your freedom.

Social media and the dumbing down of the people is universal across all countries. Money only matters in that with more money you can buy more influence on social media.

What makes America so special that we can't end up like Nazi Germany? The supreme court gave him powers of a king. He says he will jail his opponents and I believe him. He called on his supporters to assassinate Clinton so you're going to put his opponents falling out of windows past him? It's not me saying he has unchecked power to murder his opponents, I'm echoing Sotomayor's legal opinion in her dissent to the Trump Vs The United States ruling.

there is literally no way to argue this either way, with any kind of sound evidence what would have worked out in hindsight.

it's just a dumb fucking thing to gnash one's teeth about.

Hell, just look at elections over the last 5 years: the only sound argument is that the incumbent party was toast, no matter what. Incumbent Jesus with his running mate of Jesus would have been creamed by these evangelical voters.

Yeah and now he gets to operate our nuclear arsenal... I need a drink
Because Trump's first term was full of nuclear missile launches? I would suggest you evaluate the global conflict levels between 2016-2020 and 2020-2024 and the global policies behind those time frames.

Not sure you can overcome the emotions wrought from MAGA fueled propaganda regarding COVID and the resulting inflation.

Yet it is still true that Biden picked his VP more than four years ago.
It is also true that Biden stonewalled a primary until he was face to face with his declining health. On public stage.
No leader should reach such an age or capacity. Ginsburg should have been that lesson.

Elders are not capable of letting go when it is needed.
If that is something we are to rely on, then we will fail that test 9 times out of 10.

OTOH, while we could have improved our odds with a primary to find a charismatic leader. Who could speak truth to fiction. The odds were still very much insurmountable. Post-COVID is not the time to be the incumbent party.

Consider this your official warning about 2024 Trump, since you ignored it in 2015. We'll talk again in 4 years, assuming you're still alive and this forum is allowed to exist.

Oops! Sorry, I meant to post this in the what Democrats should do differently thread. :

I was listening to a YouTube video where one guy said if you go to the DNC website “Who we serve” section, young men are not mentioned. But maybe they added it later, but it does say young people and students. But I noticed that as a white collar white male, I would not be included were I not an also a senior. All women do have their own section.

I was warning people about Biden.

But since we are talking about mistakes, I'd say the biggest mistake in your family is that your mother did not make your father wear a condom.

they just need to court more lifelong republican voters and slide to the center more

shocking i know

just amazing....hit after hit

This is a very good podcast along with the Jon Stewart one:

He also called it 30 years ago:

We ignored the lessons of 2016.. ask the people who they want.. they said Sanders and Trump.. they got Trump over Jeb and Hildabeast.

Now again some are saying we need more progressive Newsom or go with Manchin.. I think we need an outsider populist like Jon Stewart!
