Amazon has it right now at MSRP. Newegg is OOSIf this was indeed AMD's plan (make it look like there's a supply issue), clever way to kick the scalpers in the nads!

5090 will be worse, gamers and AI folks will be eying it. 32GB of vram GDDR7 is appealing for ultra high endYeah, it seems like stock has been decent on these. My Microcenter is finally sold out, but they had them yesterday. I wonder if the 5090 launch will be this smooth...
Still sold out at my local MC...Another full restock at my local Micro Center.

Can't imagine why anyone would consider buying from a scalper at this point.
LOL @ the 1-star and 2 -star reviews, though.

If I were to build a system built around a 9950X, using default BIOS settings and a Peerless Assassin, what all-core frequency, temps, and power draw, could I expect to see when running CB R24 MT?
Thanks Igor. Reviews are a great starting place and that is why I'm interested in the 9950X but there is nothing like actual data from users here that can tell me exactly how they are setup and what to expect!
Nice power graph there and in CB R24 MT, it does 2130.
All core frequency would depend on your particular sample's quality but I think 5.5 GHz should be doable though maybe not at 200W. Temps shouldn't exceed 85C at default settings.
I am on a 7950x, and I think the 9950x is the same way. They go to 95c, then as fast as it will go. I am doing 4.65 @16 real cores (no smt) and full avx-512. and ifs 95c as expected. 9950x acts the same way, but is a little faster. If I were to build a system built around a 9950X, using default BIOS settings and a Peerless Assassin, what all-core frequency, temps, and power draw, could I expect to see when running CB R24 MT?

Well, I am in a primegrid contest right now for a week. So somebody else will have to do this.So if you run CB R23 MT at your current settings what would HWinfo/CB report as your frequency, power, temp, (during the run) and score?
Of course. No problem!Well, I am in a primegrid contest right now for a week. So somebody else will have to do this.
Sorry
Here is what 4 Genoa 7554's a 9654, 7 7950x and one 9950x do for me. avx-512 intensive code. https://www.primegrid.com/challenge/2024_8/top_users.htmlOf course. No problem!
I looked up the Primegrid challenges after reading your post. Interesting math problems. Here is what 4 Genoa 7554's a 9654, 7 7950x and one 9950x do for me. avx-512 intensive code. https://www.primegrid.com/challenge/2024_8/top_users.html

And they wonder why I like AMD....13 computers beating some people with over 100.(intel)

You're killing it!
At this point I would probably wait to see how the 9950X3D will perform and cost and how it will influence the cost of the regular 9950X before building a new rig.If I were to build a system built around a 9950X, using default BIOS settings and a Peerless Assassin, what all-core frequency, temps, and power draw, could I expect to see when running CB R24 MT?
