Very true. It's far better to base our currency on some random mineral we pull out of the ground.
What's funny to me is that people's most common reason for wanting to return to the gold standard is that it would prevent inflation but if you look at the historical record while on the gold standard countries suffered from wild swings of inflation constantly. It was just a terrible system all around, which again, is why literally every country on the planet got rid of it.
Another reason bitcoin is worthless as a currency,What would you rather be paid in...

Maybe you might even want to be paid in Bitcoin? We can move to a digital currency standard. You cant print more Bitcoins. The supply is fixed.
I would way rather be paid in USD than gold. Also, gold has little value outside of some uses in electronics. The remainder of the value is the value we assign to it - which is ironically the same reason fiat currency has value. What would you rather be paid in...

And if you look at bitcoin it is subject to absolutely insane inflation and deflation. For example in February 2014 Bitcoin saw an annual inflation rate of over 1,000%.Maybe you might even want to be paid in Bitcoin? We can move to a digital currency standard. I for one am looking forward to the seemingly inevitable step where people try to blame Democrats for making them vote for Trump.Starting to see a trickle of swing voters realize they might have made a major mistake and say this isn't what they voted for.
My response for the next four years:

Look, the Green Party is was just trying to gain political power like any other political party, which is why they only run candidates for president in races they can't possibly win and make little to no effort to win races at the local or state level. (you know, races they could actually win)At least I'll know who to roll in the gulag next after I get done with the Green Party voters.
My in-laws live in Tucson, and District 6: wtfAt least I'll know who to roll in the gulag next after I get done with the Green Party voters.

The thing is it's a bitcoin echo chamber.. whoever has bought it.. hopes they can find a sucker to sell theirs.. but I'm not sold on it.. so keep your bitcoin all you want.. I'm not paying for it!
It's definitely looks like a cracked and packed district. But like, 10k+ voted for the literal crackpot green when the environmental lawyer running as D was right there, and the margin is so small.Ha that's exactly where my dad and his wife live.
No.If the power goes away, the only form of currency will be bullets and guns.

What are you implying? All value is implied.
Bitcoin isn’t a currency and will never be a currency. It’s at best a store of value or an investment. At worst it’s for criminal activity or money laundering. The day somebody explains a crypto use case that is't crime or crime adjacent I'll be interested. My expectation of that ever happening is basically zero.
Federal reserve ... government, what you saying? What are you implying?
If we abolish the Fed it would be a great day in America.
