The only options Ukraine appears willing to settle for will be either NATO membership or the physical deployment of Euro military forces to Ukraine. The second is probably more doable than the first by a decent margin.

The only options Ukraine will have is whatever Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump are willing to accept.

Period.

Ukraine will not have a say in the matter as they are a beggar nation completely reliant on western handouts. EU will not have a say either as it is nothing more than a collection of US vassal states and will just go along with whatever Trump wants.

In other news, a new update from Elon:

Not a good look for Ukraine when you have the richest person on the planet who is now going to be a part of the WH administration saying this.

It’s sort of funny that you can go back through this thread and see you predicting imminent Russian victory for the last two and a half years. Lol.

Also, any thoughts as to why Vladimir Putin thinks Russia is too weak to fight NATO? Why do you guys disagree? Is he stupid?

The US is not going to war with Europe, some of whom have nuclear weapons.

...
You have more faith in Trump than I do. Nobody is going to use nukes and even if they did wtf does Trump care if all of Europe and Russia gets nuked? That much easier to mop up the leftovers. US wouldn't even have to respond with nukes, so nobody would have justification or motivation to lob ICBMs at the US proper.

If the US goes to war with Europe in the way that you describe the US is 100% getting nuked.

Trump wants to get even with the leaders of our allies who mocked him as the village idiot bully he is and will always be. So do the people who voted for him. They want to force that hoax image they built around Trump on the nation and make us rue the days and years that Trump got called out for the moron he really is. Good luck with that.

On a visceral level, his biggest fear is to be exposed as the witless little pipsqueak of a man he really is and those people who lead our allied nations see right through him, he knows it and he's going to make them pay for it. How ironic it is that the only way Trump can prove his claim that he is a stable genius is by showing us on a daily hourly basis that he's no such thing.

I recall in my distant past of a study done by one of our notable universities (I forget which) that found the smarter and wiser a student is, the more they underestimate their skills and talents whereas the students who were, on a descending scale, less intelligent unfailingly overestimated their abilities down to a gross extent. By that measure, it's pretty obvious that Donald Trump is a perfect glaring example of what that study revealed.

I don't believe Europe would use nukes unless nuked first. I just don't see it happening.

If we are raining bombs on like France and they think they are in an existential war they cannot win vs the US/Russia some French SSBN captain will be more than happy to vaporize the eastern seaboard while enjoying a nice plate of brie with chardonnay.

Not that this would happen but somebody ought to remind Trump he’s got the most powerful military in the world leading the most powerful military alliance in the world if he doesn’t dump it.

Putin staying in charge is entirely based on Trump remaining deferential to him because if he doesn’t and supplies Ukraine with all the weapons it wants Russia loses and Putin likely does too. (It’s kind of crazy to think someone would bet their political future on Trump following through on a deal)

How does that hurt Trump. It doesn’t. He won the election he doesn’t need further Russian help.

Russian Money? He’s president. I’m sure billions of kick backs from a greatful military industrial complex would be on the table.

Kompromat? His base doesn’t care nor would they believe it and anything he’s done or does is effectively outside of judicial review anyway.

If he did this he could say Biden wimped out by refusing to give all the weapons, European leaders would eat crow because he supported NATO and Ukraine and he’d remove Putins influence over him. He could easily make deals beneficial to him with whomever replaces Putin.

Turnp looks strong and any negatives with the base could easily be propaganda’d over.

I’m not seeing the downside for him.

I want someone to sell it to Trump like that. Make him aware Merz is probably going to win and take over from Scholz. He and Macron will take on the mantle of the West's defenders of freedom, American leadership gets demoted, sidelined. The price of influence is engagement, and macho assholes like Trump (and Putin) can't stand not being center stage.

I think I'd feel better on the odds of him caring were it not for the capricious dementia and Adderall involved.

There's a third option. Ukraine develops nukes. Because Europe doesn't have the unity or political will to send hundred of thousand of troops and equipment who need massive financial supply to be deployed and maintained to that border, and NATO is not viable for Ukraine right now.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I don't think anyone wants to be the first to launch nukes no matter how bleak it may get. It doesn't have to be the US attacking Europe directly, everything could be channeled through Russia. We can't help what Russia does with our equipment. Besides, you shouldn't be sheltering Nazis in the first place, duh.

Trump is unpredictable, and he's made threatening overtures before, so I'm not keeping anything off the table at this point.
I'm trying to formulate worst case scenarios so we're all pleasantly surprised with the next 4 years. It is all about managing expectations. Hope for the best, plan for the worst and all that.

Any Euro forces deployed would be relatively small but backed up by the continent's air power. Starting a war with the rest of Europe is not on Russia's to do list anytime soon since it's going to take them a decade to recover militarily from Ukraine.

Any nuclear armed nation that finds itself on the brink of defeat/destruction will very likely use its nukes against the aggressor and its aggressor's allies because there is nothing left to lose from their perspective. This is why nuclear armed nations really don't want to go to war with each other.

This place is getting more unhinged by the minute. 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It just seems that way because you're a coward who is clueless about how the world works.

It's ok. We've seen it before, you're not surprising anyone.

It's also why nuclear armed countries are pretty much not invaded. Nuclear weapons are a huge deterrence for invasion.

Yeah the last time that this went to the brink was 1973 and believe you me Israel would have absolutely deployed if their defenses collapsed. Nixon was so concerned about it that he sent them everything they asked for.

You know I did make one mistake.

I thought this place would be like the pulse of a nation, no matter how small and inconsequential it was. I really did think that; it was so foolish of me.

I was so wrong about that, the US election proved it as such.

You guys are nothing more than a bunch of trolls hiding and muttering insane crap in an underwater cave. Now that I realize it, I find myself laughing at you guys.

As for you guys giving me sermons about how the world works, I can only say: HA HA HA HA 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I'm sorry, but I can never take you guys seriously ever again.
