There was a funny editorial in the NYT yesterday by Roxane Gay about how we need to stop coddling Trump voters who live in a land of delusion (which I definitely agree with!). But what it failed to point out is the media's role in allowing this all to happen over the last decade+. The media, in its blind adherence to tone-neutral writing has thrown their brains right in the trash, no longer capable of calling a spade a spade. From calling RFK Jr a "skeptic", "both sidesing stuff", sane washing Trump (or just not reporting on his insanity)...

I guess the MSM calling Trump and his supporters fascist, bigots, myimogyst, Nazi's, etc .. every five minutes didn't help their cause like they hoped it would.

This is such a boring schtick. Just a firehose of overnight posts by an "American" who seems to have only cursory knowledge of [name a subject].

Though, I did get a laugh out of this clown not knowing the language of Wales. Funny stuff.

s0me0ene0es0esmind? after the ban? It's the same kind of uninformed arrogance, never answering actual points, just regurgitating unread nonsense that never seems to defend his own broken points.

I doubt you know what fascism is. A prime example of a fascist state is jailing your citizens for the crime of misgendering a transvestite. That would be the UK.

No Fox coverage? Didn't Brent Bozell III son get 4 years for his part in January 6? Check out their Free Speech Award winners like Elon Musk.

Elon is a proponent of free speech so no idea what you're getting at.

You don't get it do you..

Fascism is a lot more common than people think.. yes Nazis are extreme examples but hardly the only examples of Fascism.

Fascism basically only requires 3 things:
1. A leader targeting an enemy from within
2. The leader saying laws don't protect people from the enemy so should be disregarded
3. Provoking the perceived enemy with micro aggression so there's a reaction and that's when you OVERREACT

And it's happened a lot more often than people think.. even FDR could be called a fascist and Eisenhower too. Current examples around the world are Modi in India, MBS in Saudi Arabia, Duarte in the Philippines, Prayuth in Thailand, Xi in China, Orban in Hungary, Putin in Russia, Maduro in Venezuela..

I mean the list just goes on and on.. fascism is dangerous.. not Nazi dangerous but dangerous. But everyone thinks we're talking final solution and nazi's immediately. It may get to that but even that took 10 years of fascist rule and they were scraping the bottom of the barrel at that point of who didn't have the money or ability to leave or overreact. The ones that had some money were able to leave as refugees.. those were the smart ones and the survivors.

Remember it doesn't always start with the final solution.. it starts much smaller but big enough that most of the perceived enemy should leave on their own and then you have a much more manageable amount left to round up.

Funny how you don't mention Starmer, Macron or Merkel. All three of those countries have jailed people for so called 'hate speech' while trying to ban X.

Did you forget Putin has jailed people for so called 'hate speech' and tried to ban twitter? Infact it is still banned there.

Cherry picking stuff when it's a much bigger issue just makes you look like an idiot with an axe to grind!

BTW thanks for revealing yourself to be another Russkie bot.. everyone can do bad things but not dear leader

Russia and Belarus combined haven't arrested as many people as the UK has for what they posted online. Now try arguing that one.

Oh there’s a threshold now where it’s acceptable to you? Lol let me guess, that threshold increases as the number of times Putin jails someone?

Unfortunately, you are right about hardcore trumpers. And then you have the moderates/independents who think he is not really going to do the Facist things he says he will: "Well, we survived the first term; it wasnt that bad.". They are in the "be careful what you wish for" camp. Things are different this term. He has a heavily stacked supreme court, both houses of congress, and an immunity ruling to protect him.

My Apple News just informed me Trump picked Dr. Oz to oversee Medicare and Medicaid. I find it funny that 3 of his pics are from TV, I bet he thinks Dr. Oz is a world class doctor lol. Since I know he loves watching TV so much, maybe he'll pick Dog The Bounty Hunter to head up special task forces or something. Dog has a history of racism and without knowing I'd bet money he's a MAGA. He would be a perfect fit for this motley crew.

Yup, waiting to find out Medicaid is just disbanded entirely.
I found something interesting in the comment section of FOX News in the past year. They also want to disband Medicare and social security retirement income. I have seen multiple times in FOX News comment section of people claiming that if people want income, they should go back to work. A bigger Trumpanzee bufoon even commented they worked in a mine and how America was much better before Medicare Part D. These are the buffoons who rooted for Trump from the very beginning, while all the other swing voters voted for Trump after he claimed Biden was responsible for the economy.

It also seems to me that miner's lung disease is taking a toll on the brain as well, since every mining state has voted for Republicans since 2000

How is this announced clown car of incompetence and fuckery supposed to make America great again? Even if the goal is to burn it all down before rebuilding it, the rest of the world is going to lap this administration. Unless of course, the rest of the world degenerates in the same manner.

Considering many people on Medicaid cannot work, at all, he can fuck right off.

Maybe he should stop being a talking head on TV and get a 'real job' where he can contribute to society, yeah?

There's a movie called The Humanity Bureau with Nicholas Cage.

In that fictional movie.. Trump implemented a Bureau of Human Productivity where if a person isn't producing they're shipped off to "new eden" retirement colony.

Take a guess what that's really about.. and removing medicare/ medicaid away would do a good part of it.

I worked for the US Civil Service, and carried my FEP private group insurance into retirement, since I was too young for Medicare when I retired. I haven't switched to Medicare except for part A, which is free. My wife has had a lot of medical issues this past year, probably would have been hundreds of thousands without insurance. Between the private insurance and Medicare part A to pick up hospital deductible expenses, i have only had to pay a few thousand (less than 5K for sure) for all this. Considering what is happening now, I am glad I kept the private insurance, although it has become painfully expensive (900.00 per month next year, the premium went up over 100/month). If Harris had won, I was planning to switch totally to Medicare, but wont now. In fact, I am even concerned that if Medicare gets eliminated or severely gutted, private insurance will increase even more steeply in price and cut benefits.
