The Mi300c was not featured in the presentation, but it does not mean it is not coming out at some point.Charlie is just rambling about MI300A mostly:
AMD outs Genoa HBM… Sort of… as a GPU
At AMD’s Datacenter and AI day a few weeks ago, the company stealth announced an HBM Genoa CPU, sort of.semiaccurate.com
The CPU only MI300C doesn't feature at all so Charlie probably missed it.
Too boutique to be an actual product. The Mi300c was not featured in the presentation, but it does not mean it is not coming out at some point.
more pipes or just more width? ( i hope more 256bit pipes myself)Too boutique to be an actual product.
MI400 gen maybe, Zen5 is a lot better for silly FMA crunch.
Think it's that but I haven't seen the FP results just yet.just more width
Obviously, the thing is kinda monstrous.and i assume more L/S bandwidth.
BTW, in the locked thread, you mentioned ~2,400 mm2 ballpark of silicon on the Mi300a, which is what I have been calculating as well.Too boutique to be an actual product.

That was for X but A is somewhere in the ballpark too.BTW, in the locked thread, you mentioned ~2,400 mm2 ballpark of silicon on the Mi300a, which is what I have been calculating as well.
Dylan has accurate die sizes listed in his article.Which is probably a little more N5 die area than H100 (1000 mm2 vs 800 mm2?) + 1400mm2 of N6
Well I mean it's an extremely high-margin segment and the solution seems very-very competitive so they're totes okay with piling up on costs.I wonder if AMD is getting the sufficient bang for the buck on all this silicon...
Indeed it is!This looks like Mi300c
Xbox is far more reliable but Xbox also has no games to sell.Azure seems to remain AMD's best and most reliable business partner among all of Microsoft's business units.
All the development rumours regarding the Xbox Series X/S successor sound like the opposite of reliable. You're saying all those rumours are wrong and the Xbox unit is simply just slacking while Sony is pressing ahead?Xbox is far more reliable but Xbox also has no games to sell.
Too bad!
the what. All the development rumours regarding the Xbox Series X/S successor sound like the opposite of reliable.
SCE is trying to survive after killing 6 liveservice turds at once.while Sony is pressing ahead?
This is getting OT, but there were rumours like the next Xbox being ARM based, Intel wanting to do the chip at its IFS etc. pp. and all those detours leading to Microsoft lagging behind Sony at actually designing the next console gen. Not that I really care either way. 🤷♂️the what.
MS wants everything to be ARM-based. But not like they get to choose.but there were rumours like the next Xbox being ARM based
Xbox isn’t reliable at all. Spencer is bad at management.Xbox is far more reliable but Xbox also has no games to sell.
Yea they are, have worked with ATi since 2005.Xbox isn’t reliable at all.
He pitches a good acquistion but Xbox as studio management just doesn't manage their properties at all.Spencer is bad at management.
They aren't good either, but at least they manage their IPs.The only good console maker left is Nintendo
But they switched to Intel at the last second for the original Xbox.Yea they are, have worked with ATi since 2005.
Yeah that was a sucker punch. But they switched to Intel at the last second for the original Xbox.
You mean nearly literally go scorched Earth to litigate all of their game IPs from even a hint of third party usage. They are nibbling away at their own corporate goodwill each day...Yea they are, have worked with ATi since 2005.
He pitches a good acquistion but Xbox as studio management just doesn't manage their properties at all.
It takes real skill to buy Zenimax and then have 0 Fallout games in production until ~2030 or so.
They aren't good either, but at least they manage their IPs.
Only half of the problem. Nintendo also sits on a pile of dead IPs.You mean nearly literally go scorched Earth to litigate all of their game IPs from even a hint of third party usage.
