When the propaganda is not silenced, and is allowed to be posted, then refuting it holds value.
Reaping the seeds they plant is how America got a President Trump. Twice.
I agree with this for the dumb posters who aren't smart enough to realize they are being lied to and regurgitate the nonsense. For the bots and paid trolls, I think calling them out and checking the accounts to get them banned is the correct course of action.

And special thanks to the behind the scenes people who dumped AG.

Russia is like an elementary school bully. It’ll push and push, and when the other kid stands up to it they start crying to their parents. Entitled scum they are. They’ve been using Iranian drones for over two years. They’ve been using North Korean artillery and ballistic missiles for over 6 months. And now they have 10,000 North Korean boots on the ground in Kursk (probably less than that now). They always whine about escalation yet they’re consistently guilty of it themselves (considering they are the fucking invaders).

There is really no point to use an ICBM other than to prove that it can successfully launch. If it isn’t nuclear tipped, then it imo is nbd.

If Europe can't protect themselves because they choose not to build up their military that's on them. Let the Europeans fight their own wars. I'm old enough to remember when Germany had no problem allowing Poland to join NATO so that the do nothing Germans had a buffer between them and Russia. Afterwards the Germans cried and stomped their feet when the US pushed to allow the Baltic countries to join NATO.
Oh thank god you're banned.

First ICBM ever used outside of testing hit near Dnipro.
I did not know there was a meaningful difference between Ballistic Missiles.
By definition... the trajectory necessary for a Ballistic... takes it outside the atmosphere?

So this would just be more of the same. Just bigger and more expensive. From what we saw of it impacting, we've seen regular use of more destructive weapon systems for years. For practical use, clearly each warhead is meant to be nuclear. I suppose this proves Russia still has functional delivery systems. Though I always suspected they kept some in working order.

All 'ballistic' means is that it falls on its target by the force of gravity as opposed to say, a cruise missile which gets to its target through powered flight the whole way. For example artillery shells are ballistic projectiles (generally speaking).

It's hard for me to see how this would be a cost effective way for Russia to strike Ukraine. ICBMs are there because sometimes you need to strike someone really far away. That's not the case here.

RS-26 may be more an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile than a ICBM, mostly I think because it has not been demonstrated at ICBM ranges. This kind of firing isn't going to be a regular occurrence because they have limited numbers and they are very expensive to procure (Kremlin resources are not infinite). Especially with a number of other Russian wonder weapons that Putin announced years ago shitting the bed regularly (Sarmat, Burevestnik, Kinzahl, etc).

Now that Ukraine is cleared to hit Russia, maybe they need to launch from further away as not to have their missiles hit on the "pad".

I am not even sure if the RS-26 was in regular production for Russia.

I wonder if Ukraine has NBC teams checking the target sites for radiation in case this was actually nuclear warheads but the warheads didn't detonate, not likely. The US was warned ahead of time that Russia would be launching a missile. This is done to make sure that countries don't mis-understand the adversary's motive. This is why the US closed it's embassy in Kyiv citing a potential significant air attack on Wednesday.
