This reminds me of another "sane" person who was locked up for manipulating others. He a modern day Rasputin (and was only 5 feet tall.)

If you watch any of his old interviews he constantly tries to turn a question into his way of thinking while spinning a reality that seems believable if you follow along, but he is just mesmerizing you with nonsense while slipping in suggestions about what he wants. As a prisoner most of his life he probably learned this as a survival skill.

Out of control drug use, lack of money and a penchant for power trips over his hypnotized followers led to murder.

He was never really meant to be free... but he did write a catchy song once.

Manson was lucky. He could worm his way into your mind by telling you thinks he knew you wanted to hear but were afraid to`see that you did. I have a much harder job. I have to tell you things I know you don't want to hear and would rather die than believe. It's kind of the same but different and because you don't know what from what you really resist hearing anything our of fear. How would you know on which shoulder the angle or the devil sits.

Did I tell you about the time when I had this weird psychological experience I had, tetched in the head I think, about a savage world that would appear every time I closed my eyes as I went to sleep that led to massive panic when it continued to persist and I couldn't shake it off. It might have been some sleep paralysis dealie or a lucid dream but I feel like I was just me and all of a sudden this wolf would appear just like if it happened to you just now. Anyway, it was exhausting because I was dead tired and just wanted to go to sleep, not so easy to do when being attacked by a giant savage wolf.

But since there was no escaping the wolf and no denying the need to sleep I just decided I had no choice but to die and that I had to close my eyes. So I did and the wolf was gone. The world of insanity is fantastic and the waters warm and inviting once you get over the hump.

Anybody want to take bets on whether he'll buy into that bunk? If I can just get him to close his eyes I can slip one into his drink.

I wonder if Trump's two requirements for cabinet picks are:

1 - candidate must simp for him on a regular basis
2 - candidate must be at least as corrupt as he is (though on a simpler level he's got to be able to relate to them)

Pam Bondi selected as the AG

I hope u are not happy for this

If u remember. Pam bondi was heading up the case against trump university and she was given 25k from trump and the case was dismissed

The only good thing about it this hopefully will be investigated

And how bad would you feel for doing so?
If we're actually going to be serious about such a stupid question, I'll give you a serious answer. I wouldn't drop a dime on anyone that wasn't a criminal. That doesn't include political beliefs. Scream all you want about Trump and what a horrible monster he is, it doesn't harm anyone and won't change anything. A statement that has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt.

My only real concern about the Trump administration is the action that might be taken against illegal aliens. I don't want to see the dreamers tossed out of the country, they're victims, not perpetrators. I also don't think that the parents of "anchor" babies should be forced out, though I'd like to see the constitution changed to prevent it from happening in the future.

Presumably against the mass denaturalizations that have been proposed too? And the suspension of the 14th Amendment wrt birthright citizenship? Ejecting visa holders who say things he doesn't like from the country?

I guess I'll need to look up this 25K alleged payoff...
Still better Bondi than that dirt bag Gaetz. I really dislike him a LOT.

What this episode should show is that public pressure can work, even on disreputable, arguably evil people, and that Trump and his cronies are not some unstoppable force of nature.
IMHO this one had nothing to do with public pressure. At least 4 or 5 GOP Senators hate his guts, and his confirmation was a long shot at best. The confirmation hearings would have been an absolute shit show.

But public pressure keeps those ideas front and center, and they have to keep talking about him then, and why they either think he's fine or dodge it altogether.

So am I correct that Gaetz, by being offered this job and then declining it, gets to quit Congress instantly just days before the report on his dodgy sexual behaviour is released, and as he's no longer a Congress-critter the report will now never see the light of day as they have no authority over him?
Could he have just quit anyway, or did the job offer give him a quicker way out?

He gets to make Bondi a sane choice in comparison, kills the report coming out, and probably gets a job in the administration that doesn't need nomination, preferably with access to underage female interns.

The appointment gave him convenient cover AND potentially a very soft landing. Yeah pulling the nom almost feels like a set up but it's hard to know with an incompetent CEO like DJT. Probably Hanlon's razor.

Trump's noms are being tempered by the billionaires that's got skin in this game. Anything that affects their bottom lines are going to be shouted out loud and clear in Trump's nicked ear IRT his cabinet picks. Trump's ass is up for sale to the highest bidders worldwide and Putin's grip on Trump's nuts is being kept in everyone's thoughts as they grapple for his favors.

I really do wonder if our intelligence agencies are keeping a close watch on Trump's and Musk's numerous calls to Putin. I hope they are, for the nation's sake.

Yeah, I'm sure this will work out just fine. At this point I'm surprised Michael Flynn wasn't picked for something. Between P2025 and the leftovers of Quanon being put into positions we're going to have a government being run by whatever "Conspiracy Dejour" meets their fancy.

At this point I would be surprised if Trump appoints anyone who is competent and suitable for run any department the way that it is supposed to be run.

The guy for Treasury is competent. Irony is he used to work for Soros which apparently was a check in his favor with Trump because he really admires him lol.
