best price for sure baring anymore sales that come up, but seem to hear more about Gigabyte not being one of the better quality ones, sapphire and powercolor seem to get better review. I'm leaning towards the hellbound.Hmm, sounds like the Gigabyte 7800XT for $599 is the best deal for you.
I don't have any experience with the NZXT RGB stuff. It looks to be all proprietary and the only way to control it is CAM. I think you'll need to run CAM alongside the MSI Mystic Light RGB control software for the motherboard and RAM. The motherboard software will control anything plugged directly into the RGB ports and the RAM. if I'm not mistaken there isn't any way to sync the board controlled stuff with the CAM controlled stuff though. If you get a GPU with RGB you'll possibly have to run another piece of software since MSI isn't an option here. The Sapphire NITRO+ can sync from the motherboard. It has external ARGB sync. It's looks like a very nice card with a brick of a cooler. It fits the nice cosmetic criteria, albeit at a pretty hefty price premium. The PowerColor Hellhound should also be a really nice card. I have the 7900XT version and I've been very happy with it. You can kill the RGB on it with a switch. Otherwise there are plenty of options for non RGB cards.PCPartPicker Part List: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/KwLZ8Q
both my case and cooler came with the NZXT ARGB / RGB controllers, and i think I can connect 3 plugs into each. The only other thing I need to add is 2- 140 RGB fams for the bottom of that case, most likely I use the NZXT fans the duo or the core just have to figure out which one will fit and look the best, the 3 fans in the front of the case are not RGB I'm going to leave those for now and put RGB ones in at a later date.
I put the 7600x/ Tomahawk in there as I'm 99% sure thats what i'm going with 463 for the combo just can't beat that price right now. that board has
2x Addressable V2 RGB LED connector and 2x RGB LED connector so hopefully that enough

I bought the Hellhound 7800XT at launch, it's a great card. I stick with the exclusive partners/big 3 myself - XFX, Sapphire, and Power Color.best price for sure baring anymore sales that come up, but seem to hear more about Gigabyte not being one of the better quality ones, sapphire and powercolor seem to get better review. That case is seriously ugly. OP clearly wants the fish tank design. I am still adapting to what they have done to ram. 24GB sticks feels wrong somehow lol.Played around a bit to get you a 9800X3D: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/RnPCyW
I think they will try 36GB next24GB sticks feels wrong somehow lol.
My daughter is using an ASRock 6800xt. It's been great, no issues really at all. It's certainly on par with my MSI.ASRock might also be a good option. I know their boards are pretty good, so I figure their cards are decent.
Have you had to repaste it yet? How's the fan noise? My daughter is using an ASRock 6800xt.
Nope. And fan noise is low. These cards undervolt really well. You can achieve stock performance at 200w. So temps stay low and fans rarely see 40-50%. She has a Lian Li 216 case with the stock fans. They move a ton of air at low speed to help keep temps down too.Have you had to repaste it yet? How's the fan noise?
When I bought the NZXT H6 flow I didn't realize either that RGB was proprietary even though I watched a ton of videos on it. I guess I messed that part lol. But I'm sure I'll get it work one way or another. But I was thinking of flipping both the Kraken elite and the Case and getting the Montech King 95 Pro, and a cheaper cooler, depending on what i get for my stuff I could break about even.I don't have any experience with the NZXT RGB stuff. I'd think about flipping that Kraken Elite 280 if it were me. You could free up some budget and get some RGB fans from another brand you can control with the board.
I can't tell you how many layers were on any of the PCBs I've owned over the years.Do you guys put much stock into a 6 layer PCB vs a 8 layer PCB, is it more of a selling point then really needed for most setup?

So would the wattage of the CPU have an effect on that, say using a 105 watt cpu vs a 65 watt cpu, with using the 105 watt cpu would you be more inclined to use a 8 layer mobo
Mobos with more layers may be slightly more power efficient.

Edit, I just went back through some of my saved NZXT videos, and it looks pretty easy and straight forward to hook up, and by the looks of it I should be able to run everything off the CAM software, it doesn't look to bad. GPU ,cooler, fans etc should run off cam, not sure about the Ram.
My first choice for a GPU was the 7800 xt Powercolor Red Devil, that would look sweet, but they haven't restocked them here in Canada in the last 6 months any, There is 1 on amazon but he wants way to much for it.I'm not crazy on the RGB on the Hellbound but it looks like a good card, but I was also considering the Sapphire NITRO+. My wife also talked about taking to drive to a micro center in the states, to a GPU,CPU a motherboard. wouldn't be any cheaper when all said and done but we could make a trip out of it lol
Regarding longevity, I don't think it matters much since in our office there's a lone P4 on a Taiwanese mobo still being used solely for some old proprietary encryption software to prepare the transactions file for some Indonesian bank coz IT is too lame to transfer the PC's image to VM. I would be surprised if the mobo in that PC has more than 6 layers.the more power efficient things are the cool they generally run as well, would a 6 layer board be consider to have the longevity in life as a 8 layer.
Well that sucks lol, maybe it ain't that good
Can CAM control 3rd party RGB devices such as RAM, GPUs, Fans, or RGB strips?
At this time, the CAM software is only able to control standard 12V RGB and 5V Addressable RGB devices when connected to an NZXT N series motherboard such as the N7 Z790 or N7 B650E. The NZXT CAM software does not include support for controlling RGB found on RAM or GPUs at this time.

You can set prices manually in PCPP. Just click the little settings icon next to the price and a menu will pop up. Honestly, for $235 CAD i'd say you did pretty good there for a nice fish tank case and 280. The only problem I see is it locks you into their RGB ecosystem for their (IMO overpriced) fans. Thanks everyone for your advice, I appreciate it all, One thing to remember the prices you see on PCPartsPicker for the most part is not what I paid
for instance I got my case to my door for $85 , not 140 plus, the AIO 150 to my door, they were high 200's at the time, etc. most everything I bought so far was on special.

so circling back to this, this is the only thing i don't like about 7600x temps and wattage.. Have you ever played around with the PBO settings. It looks pretty simple to do to change the PBO,, throttle limit and back down the wattage and test it in between each. Should I expect to see high temps like 80's 90'5 while gaming, or that be more heavy multi-threaded deck top programs? Everyone seems to say it the best bang for your buck chip right nowEdit: As far as cooling goes, I'd stick a Thermalright Phantom Spirit variant on either CPU, set a 85C temp limit, and call it a day. These will both run up 95C in a heavy enough work load if you let them. There is very little extra performance gained (and a lot of power wasted) by letting them run up to 95C. A Phantom spirit w/ 85C limit should get it in a sweet spot in terms of performance/thermals/power in heavy multi-threaded workloads and won't be a limitation at all in gaming. Especially if you tweak curve optimizer and add +200 boost. Throwing more cooling at these is generally a waste of money IMO.
