I am not even sure if the RS-26 was in regular production for Russia.

I wonder if Ukraine has NBC teams checking the target sites for radiation in case this was actually nuclear warheads but the warheads didn't detonate, not likely. The US was warned ahead of time that Russia would be launching a missile. This is done to make sure that countries don't mis-understand the adversary's motive. This is why the US closed it's embassy in Kyiv citing a potential significant air attack on Wednesday.

Still technically experimental I think. They certainly have had a lot of problems getting newer more sophisticated stuff made due to endemic corruption and lying.

I assume they used inert RVs but it would be an all timer if they actually launched unarmed warheads and thus gifted Ukraine a bunch of usable fissile material.

Get ready for at least two years of this (and only this) by the do-nothing House republicans.

Unless they maybe pass a tax credit for maintenance on super yachts or vet expenses for your polo horses.
There won't be anyone to impeach unless they go after the few remaining liberal justices which wouldn't gain them anything anyway. You can bet your ass that AG Matt 'Ephebophile' Gaetz will be opening a bunch of expensive investigations that ultimately go nowhere.

Yeah I just saw that. Will remain true though for whoever Trump taps.
Talk about a waste of taxpayer dollars. Most people because they don’t pay attention to this stuff will be completely oblivious to these actual witch-hunt. Comer and Jordan are perfect examples of that.

The Republican led house was a complete shitshow and yet still the American people voted to give them a majority again. They literally couldn’t get the votes in their own conference to pass supplemental spending bills to kick the can down the road, because they themselves couldn’t figure it out. Bailed out by Democrats who are the responsible ones and yet this isn’t rewarded. This shit pisses me off so much. It’s fucking ridiculous.

You can be sure these dumbasses will withhold the provisioning of further weaponry so Putin can continue to slowly incrementally take land.

Comer comes from Tompkinsville KY, absolute shit hole of a city and county. Drugs are rampant, HSD turnover is usually 2 months. The Walmart is NOT a Supercenter, and it has a MCD, Taco Bell and Dairy Queen in total. Trying to think if there is a Subway. I don't think so.

So the prestigious family in this county/city, own a Lumber Mill, we had an OTN on their property up until a few years ago, They demanded the whole family (multiple house holds) get free everything. Fastest internet, all video channels, as many TV boxes as they had TVs for, even some that were not relatives.

Finally the company said F them, and pulled the OTN off their property and put it all in a cabinet across the street in easement. Cancelled all their free services. I personally hooked up 3 homes, one was 4 TV with HSD, owner's was 11 TVs with HSD, and owners brother was 12 TVs with HSD, while trying to connect House Garage and Pool house. Was a nightmare.

Oh wow...

The Russian government needs more income from its dwindling oil and gas sector exports, so its thrown inflation and the economic interests of the Russian people to the dogs.

No wonder two parties in the State Duma didn't vote for budget. Political lines are shifting.

It is good to remember and understand how complex the situation is and how it all arised into a war.

The Orange revolution, The Euromaiden revolution.
Europe also denying the complete EU membership of Ukraine at the time for reasons, but which reasons ?
Anyway,
  • The oligarchs of Ukraine and their strong political influence, local and over the borders.
  • The oligarchs of Russia and their strong political influence, local and over the borders.
The at least 3 presidents of Ukraine that do there best to make positive changes for the country over the last 20 years at least.

count of afv at rus 22nd central storage yard
tanks:
764 (2021)
731 (2022)
487 (2023)
102 (2024)

ifv
1350 (2021)
1055 (2022)
691 (2023)
601 (2024)

potentially depleted of salvageable tanks, some remaining ifv but they dont seem to be bothering with the worst conditioned ones so no real change over a year. they have fenced off unused sections of the yard so this could eventually be abandoned like some other yards.

Sounds like the orcs and their NK friends are really playing catch like champs lately, especially in Kursk.

AFU investment in drones just continues to justify itself, Russians can't go anywhere without being seen then monitored, then attacked. Been watching a lot of AFU drone footage. Interesting in how you can see the fear/PTSD among the Russians in how they move from place to place, especially in how they react while under attack. NKs realize far too late the shit they are in, if they do at all. From Russian chatter they are only slightly less useless than the Africans they complain about. They are getting one hell of a crash course in 21st century warfare. Study fast.

In the spirit of parity, I really think our good friends in South Korea should send 12,000 ROKs to help Ukraine this winter.

Yes, Ukraine has become a popular destination for Koreans, lately. Nothing to worry about dear Vlad, just some budae-jjigae delivery. Brave fighting men and women deserve delicious hot food in the winter, da?

By the end of this war, NATO might not even be necessary. 3 big European countries can probably take on what's left of Russia's force. Say Poland, Finland and France or UK, Germany and Turkey.

Bernie must be a tankie I guess

_________

Then your guesses aren't worth much.

I would chalk that up to you being an idiot who thinks Bernie has denied genocide in Russia, who roots for Putler - which is what tankies do. He's just not a hypocrite, which stuns you, clearly. I voted for the guy, and I'm not exactly one to support friends of Russia if you've been paying attention here.

Bernie's actual feelings on Putin's invasion of Ukraine, 2/24/22:

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine that the world is witnessing today is a blatant violation of international law and of basic human decency. It may well kill thousands and displace millions. It could plunge Europe into long-term economic and political instability.

The United States and our allies must impose severe sanctions on Vladimir Putin and his fellow oligarchs. At a time when thousands may die as a result of his war, Putin, one of the richest people in the world, should not be allowed to enjoy the billions he stole from the Russian people. The United States must also work closely with international partners to provide humanitarian relief for the Ukrainian people.”

So either you have no idea what a tankie is or you're full of shit. Which is it? Maybe a lil of both?

You should look in the mirror.

Humanitarian relief is much different than Lindsey Graham's great deal for the MIC.

___________

So you haven't been paying attention, shocker. Who the fuck cares about Lady G, we're talking about your pitiful attempt to misrepresent Bernie here, coward.

I have had zero issue calling out genocide be the perpetrator Israeli, Russian, or Chinese. Where's your condemnation of Putin's genocide, given the thread you're posting in?

Well, it's not 12,000 ROKs, but I didn't see this earlier: a group of about 200 NK defectors living in South Korea are heading to Ukraine to help!

Pretty great of them to do this. Pretty sure most of them have had hard lives and made it out of hell, now hatred of the Kim family is compelling them to enter another kind of hell. I'm glad they aren't in combat positions, I've seen a show about these guys and they all looked like tiny retirees at a shooting range. I can see them having an effect though. Ukrainian captivity is probably a lot like a 4 star hotel for a North Korean. Might mean a porn diet though.

"A group of 200 North Korean military defectors currently residing in South Korea is seeking relocation to Ukraine to engage in psychological warfare against their former comrades, according to the Hong Kong-based publication South China Morning Post.

“We are all military veterans who understand North Korea’s military culture and psychological state better than anyone else,” said 69-year-old Ahn Chan-il. These former soldiers, each with 7 to 9 years of military service, aim to undermine and demoralize the North Korean troops currently deployed by Russia.

“We’re ready to go wherever needed to work as psychological warfare agents – through loudspeaker broadcasts, distributing leaflets, and even acting as interpreters,” he said. Another former North Korean, Lee Min-bok, reached out directly to the Ukrainian government. He published an open letter to the Ukrainian Embassy in Seoul, asking President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to let him to help rescue North Korean soldiers, whom he referred to as “cannon fodder.”

Many North Korean soldiers, including elite special forces, suffer from malnutrition, he added.

“The soldiers you see in parades are the carefully selected few – they’re the alpha [top tier] of the entire population,” Lee Min-bok said. Lee believes that even the presence of defectors in Ukraine could significantly impact the morale of North Korean troops.
