Question Advice on new Liquid cooled workstation -- safe temps?

Hi guys,

I've got a new open loop liquid cooled workstation (Threadripper 24C-48T, 2x RTX A6000).

I like the system to be quiet so I've set the radiator fans to run at 30% at 45C (113F) or less. Temps of 60C (140F) will ramp the fans up to 50%, temps of 70C (158F) will ramp the fans up to 70%.

However, I've read that the coolant inside the loop should never exceed 60C (140F).

At idle, the CPU temps for each CCD sit around 31C (87.8F). Each GPU idles around 31-32C as well.
Under full load the GPUs hit 41-42C (105.8F) and at least two of the four CCDs have hit 65-66 (149F) CPU (fully loaded).

At those temps, is the coolant likely to reach that 60C (140F) limit? Is there a way to tell?

Fluid temp should be a little cooler than the CCD temps. Only way to tell is if you had some device in the loop that could monitor the temps. Are your loads sustained for long periods of time where you would saturate the loop?

Thanks for the info. If three CCDs are at 32c and one is at 67c, would that mean the average temperature is maybe in-between that? The GPUs are a part of the same loop as well (they don't exceed 42-45 under load).

Right now, no. It's usually a burst for 5-60 minutes, but if I wanted to do some model training we could be looking at up to a full week of continuous runtime.
