His popular vote margin is currently (and constantly dwindling) something like the 4th or 5th smallest margin EVER. It's not a fucking mandate, it's a rounding error.
I think it flipped?

Anyway I am still a little bit perplexed on the whole 20m diff from 2020 and specially 2022... How did the sentiment suddenly shift to Orange? Still wouldn't be surprised if they actually managed to rig the machines some how.

maybe the vote actually was stolen this time, but dems just don't yell about it?

China and Rusher were caught hacking into a lot of the electronic machines and systems multiple times this year. Someone showed how easy it was to change a vote. I don't really believe it, but it does make me think when you see historic shifts like in New York and how far off PA and MI were.

The only way to believe this was legit is that we are all of us surrounded by legions of the absolute dumbest fucking humans that have ever lived with the memory capacities of a squirrel (Actually: squirrels do have excellent memory--let's go with the memory of a gnat), and/or this country is still, completely shamelessly racist and misogynistic.

How so many people justify voting for a fascist bag of monkey cum that promised to lead another coup against the constitution and cripple everyone with exceptionally high cost of living so that he could pay off his billionaire buddies, just beggars belief. I think far more of it is just plain fucking racist woman-haters.

I just have to respond to this..

How come my home state of New York is closer to FLIPPING RED than Florida is to flipping blue?

How can so many people justify voting for a fascist? Simple..

MIGRANTS
MIGRANTS TAKING THE WORKING CLASS JOBS

MIGRANTS COMMITING CRIMES
MIGRANTS TAKING RESOURCES

Regarding this 2024 election being stolen.. it was so bad you could be forgiven for starting to wonder.. Was that orange buffoon correct and did Dems steal the 2020 election???

The simplest answer comes down to MIGRANTS.. it pissed off the Nimby Liberals!

You can scream that all you want, but the numbers say those problems aren’t problems line MAGA wants you to believe. It’s consistently an appeal to emotion (logical fallacy argument)

The propaganda machine is in full operation and lazy Americans are the problem fr fr

Hahaha and here we were convinced by propaganda that Kamala had this in the bag and no one saw this defeat coming except uh me till 10 days ago..

You can believe what you overhear and see on the streets or you can believe the MSNBC narrative.

I'm not a right winger.. but MSNBC and other dem outlets are ignoring problems when instead they should be saying RED ALERT.. DANGER so the dems can actually respond!

Bernie is the only one who was trying but everyone went hahaha look at that socialist. Well maybe you should have listened to the socialist!

Side comment: "working class" is such a useless term in the American parlance. It's basically a term that people can self-identify to if they work for a living for wages, and there certainly isn't any solidarity between the group. It's not like some 1900s industrial proletariat.

and are those things real on the national scale?

let's just suppose that every voter who shifted from Biden in 2020 to Trump in 2024 said that immigration was their #1 priority because migrants are taking resources, jobs, committing crimes etc.

are those things real at the national scale? and we know, through data, the answer is no. just as an example, violent crime is down nationally, and on top of that, any sort of immigrant is less likely to commit a crime than a US citizen.

They're real in the minds of the electorate who believe the Biden economy was built on migrants and not for them.

How do you even fight that idea?

When the dems answer was.. "Things are fine, trust us!"

my answer, for whatever little its worth is

"i know many of you are still struggling, and here's what we're going to do about it..."

and that's when you talk about raising the minimum wage, worker protections, increasing taxes on billionaires/corporations, investment in communities, etc. very much in line with Harris' "opportunity economy" proposal. but would that get past the fox propaganda machine? i really don't think so. because Harris' message clearly didn't.

And when the Republicans block it.. Harris is a liar.. hence they want a strongman fascist dictator.

That in answers the question how they're willing to vote for one -- they've pinned their hopes on him!!

I often hear people pulling in six figures describe themselves this way. Like you are not going to the mines every day man.

Indeed. But it also just highlights why trying to use "working class" as a broad rallying cry is kind of pointless. It can be read by the target audience as applying very broadly, and then everyone encompassed by it has extremely disparate and sometimes incompatible interests.

Hasan has a great point imo : - What will solve this problem is if the Democratic Party actually adopts real left-wing economic populist messaging instead of purposefully avoiding that stuff because they’re terrified of upsetting their corporate donors.”

Hasan Piker is a moron, especially with the absolutely ridiculous idea that America has some secret, large cohort of socialists just waiting for the right vehicle to tap into them.

From the election, it's very clear that Democrats did quite well in tight races, even netting a House seat in close races, despite an extremely strong, anti-incumbent sentiment.

Not sure what you’re trying to say here. I’m a big ole Bernie supporter. It’s almost like you’re trying to ignore how the RW media has created a false reality so broad that it’s actually become many people’s reality.

What facts should msnbc type outlets present?

I would argue that since the 70’s, the “trickle down” economics has really just been the .01% squeezing the middle class and lazy Americans respond by blameing people groups that the media tells them to. Do you disagree?

I mean, how do you get thru to people with that message?

A really strong Amazonian type of woman could've gotten more votes. I think the average person associates strength with man and weakness with woman unless the woman looks like she can kick serious butt like Cobie Smulders or Gina Carano or a 40 year old Linda Hamilton.

Anyway, we live in an age where lies are more valuable and anyone speaking the truth is ostracized or eventually mentally filtered out by the masses to give more preference to the thoughts of bold faced shameless liars.

no i don't think he's saying what your thinking he's saying, he's saying that more than enough people would have voted for kamala if she'd have embraced more populist economic ideas instead of being scared to upset the moneyed class....i mean it's right there in the title...they've tried to go the centrist neoliberal clinton route and yeah, the results aren't all that great are they? losing 2/3 elections to that idiot

Harris's campaign appeared pretty success if you look at the rightward swing in areas with heavy campaigning vs areas without (it was less in states where she campaigned a lot).

I also just think Mr Piker is an idiot for a number of other reasons. Just your generic "left" grifter.

I think adopting a socialist/populist position could work. But when you get called a socialist, instead of having a strong defensive reaction, you say "if being a socialist means I want children fed and educated, families housed and able to access healthcare without risking a lifetime of crushing medical debt, and fair wages for workers with a dignified retirement, then yes."

Just like trump supporters embracing the "deplorables " label, embrace being called a socialist if that's what the talking heads at fox want to say. And then hammer at every opportunity how your policies help people and Republican policies will fuck them.

I’m not sure a “strong” woman would’ve made a difference. The misogyny in the U.S. has been ramped up a few notches in the last 10 years

I"m still wondering ;how much trouble it was, in the wake of the Nuremberg Trials, to wake up the post-war German population to see the Truth.
A curious subject I wouldn't mind learning more of.

A people that had to be militarily conquered first.
Tired of dying, they jumped for the olive branch we offered.
We established a sense of order, of law, reshaped it in our image and offered them a seat at the table.

Feast or famine, Germans and Japanese chose feast.
Not everyone will make that choice. Nor every conqueror offer it.
But a key feature is... the continuation of their path only offered their own death. And there was nothing vague or untested about that consequence.
