which are what CPUs ?Will only be good for the Intel CPUs which have that much L3 cache

A lot of the newer and even older Intel Xeons with large single cache.which are what CPUs ?
Yeah when I tested it on a dual cascade lake system, which should be pretty close to a best case scenario (enough cache for the tasks to run 2 per CPU, AVX512, etc.) It was still only ~562k points per day which even an older GPU should be able to beat. But even the appropriate Intel CPUs with lots of cache will be slower than GPUs.
Thanks. I will stick with my 3 4080 and 5 4090 cards. Anything else I have like 4090ti's are for emergency ,as they are very inefficient.Yeah when I tested it on a dual cascade lake system, which should be pretty close to a best case scenario (enough cache for the tasks to run 2 per CPU, AVX512, etc.) It was still only ~562k points per day which even an older GPU should be able to beat.
That is correct.OK, it starts tomorrow at ~10:15 am PST, 1:15 pm EST ?????
Mine are. all 8 of them.Go time was about 30 minutes ago!
All GPUs loaded and running?
Thanks, just thought I'd pitch in on this challenge. I've been enjoying the low power bills..................
These tasks take forever and generate a lot of 🥵 heat!Running 2 gpus, but will probably stop 1 of them soon. It's just too slow.
on some cards. one hour 40 minutes, and a little over 2 hours is not a log time. These tasks take forever and generate a lot of 🥵 heat!
since I lost to it, exactly why (except for this race) I run medical stuff that researches cancer. At the moment I am doing Rosetta.Let's also not forget this Challenge is in honor of Willy. The person behind the scenes of boincstats.com. Cancer can, well I can't say it here.
Yeah CPU tasks take a really long time even on decently fast and/or avx 512 cpu's.22 core Broadwell Xeon with 55MB cache is 26 to 42 hours. Ouch.
