Question Anyone got 2 of those 49" curved 4k monitors one on top of the other?

I looked at those, but hated how small they were, top to bottom. So does anyone have one stacked on the other? I bet that would look out of this world!!!

SaltyNuts, did you see the 49" monitors in person?

The reason I ask is I just replaced my BenQ 3501R with a Samsung C49RG90SS monitor because I have a MSFS2020 setup.

The BenQ vertical screen heighth is about the same as the Samsung 49" BUT the immersion factor makes the Samsung "feel" bigger even vertically even though it is about the same as the BenQ. The BenQ is 35" 3440x1440 while the Samsung is 5120?x1440.

Just my opinion having owned and used both.

i have a 38 and 34 stacked..
i had two 34's stacked before...

To be honest i do not think there is an ARM strong enough to support a 49 that high.
Even my ergo hx can only do it with a special upgrade arm, and it wont allow me to move my monitor up that high enough to clear another monitor of that size.

There were gas-spring arms for 80lbs+ CRTs, so i have to imagine they DO exist, probably just none for the current consumer monitor market since we haven't had consumer displays anywhere near that weight in quite a while. Also if you found one of those older CRT-style arm mounts, you'd probably need to modify it for the current VESA mount anyway.

You can always get a tv arm that fully articulates to mount them. They are strong enough to hold a 65" + OLED.

That's how I mounted my 43" Aorus display to the wall and used regular gas strut monitor arms for the smaller ones.

That's what I do for my 43" 4k as well, but my 43" has proper TV-sized VESA mount pattern (200x200mm).

The G9 49" has the standard monitor-sized VESA mounting holes (100x100mm) which is less common on heavier TVs and so some TV mounts might not have 100x100mm mounting options.

Pic related, this random wall mount from monoprice, it's large enough for the 49" display easily, but it only has 200x400mm to 700x500mm VESA pattern support.

That being said, if you shop around, it's easy enough to find one with 100x100mm pattern support.

pic related, supports 100x100mm up to 400x400mm

I did see a 49" at the store gk. I took one look and said "wow, that is way too short for my liking". I'm used to the vertical being much taller.

SaltyNuts, I guess it depends on what you are using your monitor for.

My Samsung C49RG90SS is used for MSFS2020. I have a Flight Velocity Instrument Panel in front of it so I have the monitor sitting on a stand High enough to clear the top of the instrument panel.

It is GREAT for a wide view in flying.
