This is bad news?
Sounds like a good thing to me
Wouldn’t all those be included?Social media (other than unmoderated forums) is a blight. Society is addled with conspiracy theory sickness (remember the quaint Flat Earthers, how tame are they now) and it's spread through FB and Youtube and others. FB has been used by governments to spread propaganda against political rivals, Malaysia iirc was one example from years ago. This can only improve things, if they are actually serious about it. Which I doubt, since more agitated eyeballs mean more $$$$ for Zuck. After the 2016 election I realized being on Facebook was just adding to my stress levels and ditched it. I'll still look for certain informative things on Youtube but the assholes continue to throw up clickbait garbage in the suggested list.
Saw an interesting study that found that on average people were whipping out their devices to 'check in' on Facebook and other sites every five minutes. They determined this was an anxiety behavior related to a fear of missing out on something important. Hint: you aren't.
OK, I welcome suggestion(s) for an intelligent title for this thread. This is bad news?

I strongly disagree with your use of the present tense. This seems entirely on brand for Meta.
this would have 0 traffic. Logic and Facts are woke garbage. Biden eats white Christian heterosexual couple babies to help promote the communist agenda is far more believable to the deplorables. Because if you know you knowMaybe we need a platform that is ONLY political/civic related content. Maybe keeping family/friend platform separate from a political one isn't a bad thing.
We know that is true. Musk has already retweeted antisemitic content.Elon will make sure Twitter will pick up the slack and intentionally push pro Nazi content into everyone's feed. Wait, guess Elon already does that.
I understand this, though I have mixed feelings. I am in a gaming community where we don't talk about politics and such, as it often causes disagreements and drama/fights online, and we don't want to deal with this. We are here to be a gaming community, and have fun together.
Now Facebook is much larger, so this is a bit different, and they are not just for gaming. My understanding is there are many communities within Facebook, with different focuses. That said, they do have a right to moderate their own site, at least to my knowledge. This probably makes moderation tasks much easier.
Perhaps a compromise would be to create a political section where politics are allowed, but not allow them elsewhere on the site?
Anyway, this doesn't really affect me, I don't like social media.
