Maybe because INTC is up over 25% and the premium needed would be beyond their means.
Forgetting Renduchintala? He was probably a trojan inserted into Intel by Qualcomm and he got a first person view of the inner goings on at Intel, their internal corporate structure, what they excelled at, what they sucked at etc. Probably was more busy writing the reports for Qualcomm than doing his job which ultimately got him fired.Because Qualcomm acquiring Intel would be rather absurd.
Someone,.spill it ! 😁
No you are good homie. This is about a vendor, but it isn't a vendor thread. Will I get a time-out if I say I LOL'd at this thinking about the heads that will explode in this forum?
Its appears 'glue chips together' really wasn't in the 'rearview mirror'.
Typical of Marketing, the actual reality is:

Yep. And Broadcom is huge with a lot of network thrown in so IMO this wouldn't be quite good for AMD IMO.Oh no. Broadcom is really gonna milk it if they get their hands on x86

Yes, according to an article from Techzine AMD would have to approve it -Don't they lose x86 if they got bought out? Everyone was saying that when people were talking about AMD being acquired.
For one, it would have depended on AMD to keep the x86 license legally intact, because the Intel acquisition would have broken up the agreement between the two parties (which lumps together x86-64 IP for just Intel and AMD). A clause in the license speaks of its dissolution after a “change of control” with respect either party. It deterred potential buyers from an AMD takeover when that company was in trouble a decade ago.
If is Broadcom... RIP x86, it will end into another SPARCReddit already pointed out the obious... that Semiaccurate article has a very particular set of tags:

A report from SemiAccurate was circulating on Friday about a company looking to acquire Intel (NASDAQ:INTC). According to a Citi note, Elon Musk was mentioned as a potential buyer behind the paywall of SemiAccurate.
And Oracle with SPARK. That's my fear... those companies don't know how to deal with thisBroadcom already nuked Vmware. They're a terrible company.

Elon would kill Intel faster than it already is. Elon’s whole schtick is to make grandiose claims about delivering by a certain time, only to just delay or make a larger promise with yet another looming date further into the future to get the shareholders off his back. Furthermore, developing cutting edge nodes isn’t something that has a quick iteration loop. It requires a lot of patience and deliberate decisions along the way, something I’m not sure Elon is capable of.If there was someone crazy enough to want to buy Intel Foundry is out there... Elon sure fits the bill. Have to figure Broadcom or Qualcomm wants Intel Products and not the Foundry.
Not sure what AMD would want to agree to let the deal go through.
Tell me about it, I just had to check this thread again...Oh God, please no
