They are predicting the possibility of thundersnow tonight/tomorrow. I'm honestly terrified but also excited.

Should be a lot better than a few years back when it was all ice and killed our power grid, as long as it falls as snow.

Made sure the generator is good to go yesterday and all our outside lines are sealed and insulated, so crossing our fingers.

It's 9F with a feels like of -7F here in the mountains of WV. This is today's high. Temps are suppose to fall from here. It looks like we have at least 8" of new snow. The ski resorts got more than 20". I hope the groundhog predicts an early spring.

Warmed up to -27 now. Was -40 at some point earlier this morning when I checked.

There was frost all over the intake for the wood stove, and even the wood stove itself this morning, still is some even after making a fire.

Sorry but the cold chills are wasted on you. You should at least have been doing some hardcore overclocking and creating world records on hwbot. Would have saved you the expense of LN2.

Thing is I walk around outside for 10-15 min with just a shirt and undershirt (and pants) in this temp all the time xd.

More than anything keep the hands and feets warm. Your head also leaks a lot of heat.

Another Red Flag warning in San Diego County. Winds gusting over 20 mph, current temperature 60 but feels much colder outside. SDGE turned off the power last night as part of their Public Safety Power Shut-off. House running on battery backup from my Solar System. Sky is very clear, good day for solar. So far no damage to my property, hoping it stays that way.

1" to 4" snow and/or ice predicted for us in Tallahassee. 2.8" is record here so far. I'm hoping for snow rather than ice. Am afraid it will all fall after dark so we completely miss a history making snowfall. Airport's closed. Schools are closed. City and county government offices are closed.

update: just started sleeting.

7:30PM EDT still sleeting. Looks like it's gonna be a stay off the roads kind of day tomorrow. Drivers here can hardly manage in clear, warm weather.

Yikes. I sometimes make fun of the south for not being able to handle a few inches of snow, but, ice sucks no matter what. At least up north we have salt trucks and plows. I hope it doesnt get too slippery or dangerous out there.
