Oh my goodness












I've never expect Nvidia also has software problem while launch.

The 5090 has issues at 1080p and 1440p. Works well with no issues at 4K. Anyone know why?

I'm very impressed too, but let's not jump the gun. Engineers work within a target budget. Bigger card cost > more daring engineers.

More frames become CPU limited, probably.

Probably saw AMD and were like "hold my beer"

Has anyone seen review with Vray or Octane Render? The ones i saw so far had only Blender, and this video-processing stuff i dont care about.

Decent core thermals, the memory runs really hot though. AIB is going to be better thermally than nvidia’s solution. Impressive for a significantly smaller cooler though. The fps improvement is ho hum.

It will be within 10 percent above 4080 SUPER, except seemingly for price of 4090 for the AIB models, because reasons.

The FE cooler is a joke with those temps. I would've been surprised as heck if both those temps had been under 80C with a two slot design and so much heat to dissipate.

Really no sympathy for the folks who pay for this crap.

That RAM is like the 3090 issue all over again. They forget so easily, their past "adventures".

This could be the first time that a previous gen card's prices go up!

Reviews are in for the 5090! Yay data!

My summary - The 5090 is about 20-25% faster with 1440p max settings + RT. Any settings under those and you're CPU limited even with a 9800X3D and there's enough pure raster to get the FPS at 100+ anyway; no value there. So, the decision is to pay 25%+ more money, use 25% more power, for 25% max performance improvement in less than a handful of games running at max settings. The value proposition just isn't there for me. Add to the poor value proposition availability issues, driver issues at launch, and given the limited stock, I expect some AIB price gouging to commence. Also, the potential for tariffs further inflating the price would absolutely cement me to just sit on my 4090 indefinitely.

Conclusion - Unless a unicorn situation like a AIB 5090 being returned and priced as an open box item below $1999.99 at my local Micro Center, I think I'll sit this round out. Not saying the 5090 is a bad product, it's just badly priced.
