Pensacola, I think. Is that Tampa Bay? lol
What kind of snake? That's a really cool pose.
Yep. Non-venomous corn skek. Impressive defensive posture. No idea, but going by the face some kind of constrictor I think. Doesn't have the adder look or the cobra scowl, and it isn't a smallish, compact face like sea snakes or mambas either. I want to know too.
We got any collectors/herpetologists here that can weigh in?
Edit: imgur says corn snake?
Corn snake makes sense, colors are right and it's not a pit viper from what I can see, so it's all bluster. Pretty good bluff though, most mammals aren't getting near that shit.No idea, but going by the face some kind of constrictor I think. Something I learned recently, fastest snakes are at best tied with cats reaction time. Consistently cats react to snakes just fast enough to do what just happened. Cats are warm blooded too so they can stay at the game longer.
Yup, cats are always faster than we are, far faster. They let us win because it's fun for them.My cats always surprise me. They're always /just/ out of reach when I try to snatch them up. Same with trying to grab their paws while playing. It doesn't seem fast, but they're always faster than me; at least without me getting overly aggressive, and ruining the game.
