Intel reports 4Q24 results after the markets close today. While we wait, Mobileye (partially spun-off but still majority owned by Intel) reported lower than anticipated 2025 outlook.

Intel 4Q24 revenue better than expected, net income / EPS pretty much in line and still spending more than they make. Overall, 4th quarter was OK given Intel's current state. Forecast for Q125 was not good though. Will update with better info soon.

Non-GAAP and forecast:

Fourth-quarter earnings per share (EPS) attributable to Intel was $(0.03); non-GAAP EPS attributable to Intel was $0.13. Full-year EPS attributable to Intel was $(4.38); non-GAAP EPS attributable to Intel was $(0.13).

Forecasting first-quarter 2025 revenue of $11.7 billion to $12.7 billion; expecting first-quarter EPS attributable to Intel of $(0.27) and non-GAAP EPS attributable to Intel of $0.00.

plans for volume manufacturing later this year at Intel Ireland, the company's lead European wafer
fabrication center.

GAAP shows the 18.7B restructuring charges from Q3 2024 hence massive loss. Non-GAAP without that is 600M loss.

Not cancel per se, but Falcon Shores has been relegated to an internal chip with no intent to release to market. The goal is to focus on Jaguar Shores instead, which will be designed as a whole rack platform to better compete with other AI-dedicated server solutions. I honestly think it will be too little, too late. Who knows how long it will take for Jaguar Shores to be ready... and by then the key market players will have settled in.
