Thank the Norse gods Denuvo has a subscription option now instead of just the per game copy model. It should mean even the infected titles are clean after a month or 3. Battle Mage is already the equivalent of my Fallout character carrying too much. The extra DRM hit would be a killer in CPU demanding games.

They removed record and broadcast from the app which sucks. They also removed the metrics overlay. You need to download presentmon separately. Those are cons, one of the pros is there are no longer the annoying notification banners when booting to desktop.

In Spiderman MM the adaptive tessellation features is something I am experimenting with. I'll report back on it. My initial reaction is it boosted fps without making IQ look notably worse. But I'll spend some time with it as that might be placebo.

Marvel Midnight Suns 1440 High, Epic Textures, RTGI and reflections, FSR 2.2 Quality rarely dips below 60fps. I don't know if the jank is UE5, B580, or both. But there is some at times. It is turned based so it doesn't create a real issue. I'll play on a Radeon so I can narrow it down. It'd be nice to have FG here to smooth it out. This is another Nvidia sponsored game. I may look at if FSR 3 can be modded in. As frame gen is grayed out.

Pretty decent retail packaging. Having been warned by Steve (Thanks Steve!) of the soft touch plastic frame being a fingerprint magnet I wore gloves. This rig is in my bedroom as supplemental heat during the TeAm’s Folding@Home race so that LED will have to be turned off or covered with electrical tape. Installing drivers now.

I did a 10hr marathon of Midnight Suns last night with zero crashes or oddities. Ran cool and quiet the whole time. Onix comes out of the corner throwing bombs.

Impressed with this Onix Odyssey. Now that I am playing 100% of the time on a VRR display, I have concluded Intel's VRR needs work.

Intel B580 still chugging along without issues doing F@H as my "burn-in" stress test with temps in the 60s Celsius.

PPD is anywhere from 1.5M to 3.0M depending on the project, so it's rather unimpressive in Folding but to be on par with a RTX 2070 or Radeon VII is an achievement in its own right when the card is $260 new. If Intel is still developing Celestial it could be a promising 3rd option after nV and AMD.

After a bit of hesitation, i.e. the game hanged up twice, i have managed to launch witchfire, and i dare say, there is a slight noticeable improvement. specifically there were a couple sections where frames would drop, but keep in mind that this is a small studio game and it's very far from being an optimized title, AND it's in early access, so it's not a good indicator of what to expect on AAA titles.
Also, the last Intel driver comes with their BS suite of usless controls, which i have declined to install - driver only for me. I wouldn't be surprised if Intel QC didn't have a single tester NOT running everything installed in full.

W1zzard/TPU bigger bar better is fake news. His test runs are also way too short to be drawing conclusions from, even if the data was accurate. Bar charts do not convey microstuttering, or many of the other problems that go along with low vram. His ARC results for Spiderman 2 had me thinking the game is broken on ARC, the B580 especially. SS is 1080 and 1440 -

The following testing was done the day before TPU published. With his 25 second test runs my guess is he churned that review out in 24hrs. So he should have had the same drivers.
