Have you owned such a laptop? Or do you by chance work in a data centre and you are used to much higher noise levels? You speak from very authoritative position telling others what is acceptable or not, but I wonder do you do what you preach. I myself have given up on DTR laptops due to noise and poor maintainability compared to desktop PC, and I doubt the situation is better now seeing power draw within that class is going up and not down.2025 gaming laptop noise even at full load is always bearable. 100% fan speed in games are also still fine given there's game music/sounds (usually only under Custom power profiles, otherwise it's like 80% max which is totally fine)

2,6Kg power supply excuded, around 3-3,2Kg with it. Noise depends on profile, definitely you'll need headphones when gaming at full speed (this has even a detachable liquid cooling system). But there are people who need such things, like me.Weight ? With power brick of course...

These are all relatively quiet CPUs. You haven't used any AMD HX CPU. The HX3D CPU may be more power hungry and noisier than you are used to. I guess it will depend on the specific implementation by the laptop maker. But an HX3D and 5090 in a laptop is a recipe for "power hungry noisy beast"4800H, 5800H then 7840HS

9000X3D series runs hotter and consumes more power due to higher clocks. 9955HX3D has a normal TDP of 55W but it can go up to 75W and it will probably be configured as such to feed the data hungry 5090 which itself won't do any favors to the cramped confines of the laptop in terms of heat dissipation. Fair enough, but these usually don't count as DTRs, that was at least 17 inch, usually with beefy GPUs. Not that I want to argue about semantics, but nevertheless the HX CPUs minimal sensible power draw will be around 65W, what usually was sensible max for the CPUs you listed (I mean pushing them past that wasn't worth it usually). Then you will pair that with a GPU drawing at least 100W+ under load. So together, depending on the use-case you might reach 200W-300W load, and to dissipate that you need to have sensible cooling or loud fans, most of the time both. So the audio characteristics will be worse if we would like to approach desktop parity in the performance department. I always use headphones. There's just one big problem... I use open-back headphones so fan noise is an issue. My T14 Gen 1 is noisier in average load than my desktop in full load.Most of the people that I've seen gaming on laptops use headphones. I know in my use case, if I'm gaming on the road and most of the time when at home, my headset is on.
Unless the noise level is really approaching commercial blow dryer levels, I just won't notice it.

At work I am using a 16 inch dell precision with tiger lake and while compiling I can hear the fans despite using headphones with ANC That is pure CPU load. At least it doesn't throttle.I think all the complaints here about 'noise heat' etc are hypothetical by ppl who haven't used them at all
or have used those old bulky 'gaming laptops' pre-zen 2 era (or intel ones)

However, it's cheating. It is an ITX board with a heat sink too thick for a laptop and a 120mm fan.
