American democracy is over

Save the date.

The Democrats faced an uphill battle. The massive right-wing media sphere, especially including social media, and also a complicit mainstream media, the general shittiness of humanity which is easy to appeal to with hate.

But let's face it. The things that we as Democrats could have controlled, were miserable.

Biden completely fucked this country, and the Democrats went along with it. They failed to adjust their messaging and strategies enough as well, they didn't understand the situation correctly.

Personally I think it would have been better if Biden lost in 2020 at this point. Anything good he did will be undone, and I used to think the judges he got in there were was good but, doesn't really matter when the executive's not going to listen, and the enforcers are part of the corrupt autocracy.

If we knew Biden was going to fuck us so bad this time around, at least if Trump won then it would have still been covid it would have been a shit show, they wouldn't have had the organization of 4 years to plan this all out, They still would have had a dysfunctional government in place And not as capable of destroying democracy like they are now.

Oh well 🤷🏼

The Democratic party has swung too far left. They’ve become the Wimp Party. A bit of liberalism is fine…this country runs better when we’re a bit liberal…but I have yet to see a STRONG Democrat with the stones to lead the party.

I think the Dems need to accept the responsibility of what their part was in helping this Trump administration taking power. Once you accept, you can then try to learn from your mistakes.

I don't think enough have so far though.

It's entirely possible that any Democrat would have lost, even if Biden had stepped aside and there had been an open primary.

Of course we don't know, what we do know, and what was predicted, was that Biden was a stupid choice to run again and would fuck up our chances, and that happened. So we know that was the wrong choice.

Swinging left would be banning corporate ownership of residential district land or structures, and mandating no more than two homes per family.

Your theory was not tested because there's no way to rerun the election with an alternate candidate.

You are assuming that if there were a primary, Democrats would win. And that is untestable.

If we had elected me as the democratic candidate clearly we would have won. We didn't, and therefore we lost. Thus, my theory is clearly correct that I was the obvious choice for Democrats because we didn't win.

All we know is that it's *possible* Democrats may have beaten Trump had there been a primary. We cannot know or prove that it would have been guaranteed that the eventual candidate to have beaten Trump. Democrats may have lost *anyway* regardless of the candidate.

Right now essentially it's just about there. And the primary opposition to that happening, may not have a lot of power to stop it, but what they do have they're too pathetic to use it.

We're going to have to fight to get it back.

The national level dems are mostly a failure. The media is also a failure. My advice is to focus on your state elections. That's what I'm doing trying to get the absolute best most strong gubernatorial candidate in. And the right local politicians to back them up.

This is going to be about the states fighting against the undemocratic federal government now

We also have to know there is a non-zero chance that the GOP cheated, because we know they 100% absolutely tried to cheat last time, constantly accuse Democrats of cheating, and we know they constantly accuse others of that of which they are guilty. I don't know if it was effective, and it's entirely moot at this time because it's not like we'd get to call backsies even if we had iron-clad proof of cheating on an adequate scale to sway the result--although I suppose perhaps that could motivate people to take action (but this, I am skeptical of).
