I almost bought an Aeron refurb before I found the first WorkPro I had at OfficeMax probably 15 years ago. It took over 12 years for the mesh seat to stretch to the point of no longer being comfortable for my ass. I gave it to a neighbor with a fat ass and she loves it, it's a heavy duty chair. The new one seats exactly as I hoped and expected it would, based on the last chair. It's no Herman Miller, but I'm happy with it.
Miller and Steelcase are definitely comfortable, well-crafted, and durable. The chairs I've had, I've gotten at OfficeMax, but they weren't like $50-100 chairs. That WorkPro Quantum 12000 was $349 on a clearance, down from 549 iirc.
Unfortunately, the new Quantum 9000 from Amazon was not on sale, or at least not discounted that much. Still worth it if it holds up like the last one did.
