They were never going into this with the intent to do good (unless you happen to be very wealthy already). Anyone not currently already very wealthy made a very poor decision if they voted for Trump.
Even if you are wealthy. If you opposes them, you are a target.

I wonder if they will lay off all the folks who actually deliver the mail..... and tell folks to drive to the post office to pick up their mail.
Spoiler: will be derived into more expensive and unavailable mail.

This will worsen the situation of no packages outside the big cities

Trump signed an order directing all remote government workers to get back into the office. While signing it, Trump falsely claimed that many of these workers were spending their days playing tennis or going golfing instead of working, implying that all of these people are lazy.

Trump then got on his jet and headed to Florida for four straight days of golfing.

Look up “projection” in the dictionary, and you’ll see Donald Trump’s mugshot.

Trump Has Already Spent $10.7 Million Of Taxpayer Money Playing Golf. Where is DOGE?

Trump considering taking over the USPS.This is going to fuck up a lot of shit, commerce and everything. Us here in the cities are the only place it could be profitable to get 'mail' type service, the less populated areas are fucked.

Also say goodbye to any federal funds to Cali for the high speed rail.

It's time for any blue state governor's with sense to join together and come up with a power in numbers secession plan.

Under a recently proposed constitutional amendment, Alabama public schools would be required to broadcast The Star-Spangled Banner at least once a week during school hours.

I’m a little surprised Republicans haven’t banned the Star Spangled Banner, since it glamorizes resistance to a tyrannical government.

And it acknowledges Spanish-speaking immigrants. “Jose, can you see…”

If Trump takes over the post office don't expect any election with integrity. You think Blue State ballots are going to count anymore?

A secession plan is the only way to start planning. Delay in the meantime.

This is a concern sure. However if this is a back door privatization rural MAGA land is absolutely screwed because USPS loses oodles of money servicing them.

This truly is the "We're gonna make everything worse and more expensive on purpose." presidency. Of course some of us predicted this but as the broader electorate is getting a taste they clearly do not like it so far since his econ numbers are fucking cratering.
It's literally the old New Yorker comic of the guy complaining about elitist pilots, then the imaginary second panel of unhappy passengers dumbly putting the nut in charge of flying the plane.

The order of blame is very clear here: 1) Republicans, 2) voters, 3) Democrats. And with this, more shoes should be thrown and energy should be spent on complaining about Republicans than the amount of energy being spent on #3, who voters explicitly left out of power at the federal level.

The issue with the Democrats is they have to relearn how to do politics instead of just governing (which at this point is throwing up their hands). Whoever in the party figures out that Trump is throwing them down an incredible career ladder to climb are going to advance.

Yes, they need to learn how to politics again. But the public at large also needs to actually hold the people responsible accountable. We can't just rely on one side trying to stop or fix things, just so some new nut can drive us off another cliff in another few years.

The post office move should really be read as the death knell for Vote by Mail—they won’t say that part out loud but I bet they won’t waste anytime throwing a monkey wrench in the works in time for Midterms.
We have drop boxes, so they will have to not deliver the ballots to kill the effort. Sounds illegal as hell, but so what, right?
