It is a common problem whereby say a person texts their partner several things and the partner only reads the last one (not all of them at any rate).

My suggestion:
If you know you're unlikely to get a prompt response (e.g. partner is at work), number the texts.

Example:

1) Did you open the bag of potatoes?
2) I haven't seen black and white cat for a while, have you?

Yes, those are messages I sent to my wife today, because when you're married the excitement never stops.

It's not our cat, it's one that roams the neighbourhood that we suspect is a stray.

My wife is a teacher so it's not surprising for me to text her and not get a response for at least 30 mins or more. So I limit my texts to non questions usually. However, when she texts me, god forbid I don't get back to her within a nanosecond or my balls get chopped off...

But then I would have to remember all the things I wanted to ask for up to 8 hours! Sorry, that's just not going to happen.

My two kittiots like both the outsides that showup. Blackie's unfriendly, and will always be unfriendly, but Spot may eventually make it into the house. All the cats seem to like each other, as well as the occasional possum that shows up, but neither the fox, nor the strange cats are tolerated.

Completely unrelated, but RCS status in Google Messages switched to "Not supported" a few weeks ago. 🤷‍♂️
I don't care that much, but although there is a fallback from RCS to SMS for single recipients; no such luck with multiple recipients (MMS). So for group chats, the conversation was frozen as read-only.

Fortunately, clearing app cache and data fixed it but this is a rather brute force approach. Wouldn't want to have to do this again, because I haven't manually backed up SMS/MMS in years.

I wonder if you live in my neighborhood. There's a B&W cat that has visited my yard on and off for around 15 years I think. Haven't seen it in months, and been wondering. It does sometimes disappear for months.

Uh, probably a different cat...

On a similar topic I find it a bit weird and sometimes emotional seeing cats on the Internet that look just like Thundercat did.

Wife & I have our own Discord server where we share most things and have many different threads/channels to keep things organized. We use texts for anything urgent or where we expect a quick response. I have text notifications enabled from her even for Do Not Disturb mode. Anything longwinded or requiring research goes into Discord. Works well for us.
