We also had a crazy winter storm here in MN, cancelled schools up here and all that, so if you're crazy you might be able to get there and get one.

I'd love to know the ratio of the $550 ones to the others but ofc they only say "limited stock" and only the instore POS will show actual stocks.

Yes, that is how BB Canada is. I got my 5090 from them and it showed as back order when I bought it. I think they put up stock as soon as it’s allocated to them and/or en route from their distributor. As it took over a week until it actually shipped.

Wow, my local Micro Center launched the 9070 and 9070 XT with lots of stock available at MSRP! Not to say there aren't some crazy AIB partner cards priced at $900+, but there are lots of good options at MSRP to be sure. Comparatively there are still 2 of the $739.99 5070s left that I posted above, so there is still some evidence of consumer sanity.

As we have learned from several notebook manufacturers, they are currently working overtime in the Far East to prevent the drama from escalating into the next act: Nvidia has instructed manufacturers to inspect already-produced notebooks with the new mobile GeForce RTX 5000 graphics chips. The focus is on GPUs where fewer ROPs are active than specified in the datasheet. This can lead to potentially significant losses in 3D performance.

Are there any left though? Any online retailer is out of stock of anything and a lot of cards are already being scalped on eBay for $1,000 or more.

NVidia may have blundered, but does it matter at all if no one can take advantage of their mistake?

I've heard Microcenter's online stock tracking is inaccurate. People have reported there being no stock even though the website says there is.

Oh no, it's definitely a lot cheaper than a 4090. We can thank the lack of VRAM for that I guess.
But when compared to the 4070S it's probably a price increase overall (so far).

UPDATE: Your Game Specialist has retracted the claim that Nvidia has issued an RTX 5090 recall. The customer who was told that they could not receive their graphics card due to the recall is now getting their unit next week and the retail outlet is conducting an internal investigation.
