With the GFX940 patches in full swing since first week of March, it is looking like MI300 is not far in the distant future!
Usually AMD takes around 3Qs to get the support in LLVM and amdgpu. Lately, since RDNA2 the window they push to add support for new devices is much reduced to prevent leaks.
But looking at the flurry of code in LLVM, it is a lot of commits. Maybe because US Govt is starting to prepare the SW environment for El Capitan (Maybe to avoid slow bring up situation like Frontier for example)

There is a lot more if you know whom to follow in LLVM review chains (before getting merged to github), but I am not going to link AMD employees.

I am starting to think MI300 will launch around the same time like Hopper probably only a couple of months later!
Although I believe Hopper had problems not having a host CPU capable of doing PCIe 5 in the very near future therefore it might have gotten pushed back a bit until SPR and Genoa arrives later in 2022.
If PVC slips again I believe MI300 could launch before it

This is nuts, MI100/200/300 cadence is impressive.

That's the glass side panel on a Lian Li Lancool 216 RGB. It's reflective so it's showing Superposition running on the monitor next to it.

Why are they cranking up 40-50w on some OC models just to get that last 2~3% of additional performance? What's the point?

For everyone with an RDNA4 card (or a Vega iGPU, apparently?), the latest nightly build of optiscaler now supports FSR4 if you're up for a little bit of tinkering to get FSR4 in more titles.

FYI the list is being added as people test stuff.

If you look in the issues section there's a thread on FSR4, as more people report working games that list should expand.

I am coming from an 7900XT (side grade for me). The Reaper cards are the only 2 slot cards that are actually 2 slots! I use U.2 to PCIe adapter cards for my rig, and with the 7900XT one of my pcie5 slot was blocked, however with the 9070, I can use it.

I agree. The 9900X combo at Micro Center is probably the best deal they have going currently. I added the bundle items individually to a cart and the 9900X price is $230. The 9950X bundle isn't bad either, and since the bundles are the same besides the CPU, you can get the CPU discount without having to buy 2 motherboard/RAM kits. CPU price is only $380 on the 9950X.

Iv got my taichi today morning pretty decent. Lighter than my 6800xt phantom d but thicker.
3100mhz out of the box with slight undervolt im doing 3250-3350mhz depending on game. Lowest iv seen is cyberpunk RT ultra only 3ghz flat.

Iv also been hearing alot of people have stutter and black screen issues. Im on windows10 its super smooth... compared few benchmarks vs daniel owen stock 9070xt and im 10-15% over his with 20% better 1% lows. decent.

I was originally considering a 5090 myself but after seeing the performance figures and street pricing I decided against it. I'm just going to wait for a 9070 XT Taichi to get back in stock and overclock it slightly. If I really really want something mean now's not the time. I'd rather wait for Rubin or RDNA 5.

I like the cards you consider have the dreaded 12 pin port. I would just wait for next gen, if your on rtx 40 or RDNA3 mid-range to high-end cards now, its not a big jump imo.
Next gen should be a lot better, likely at minimum on N3E or N3P as well FSR4 will get updates over the course of the year
