So, I just built this rig about 8-9mos ago or so. The lights have already seemed to crap out on my computer case. All of them went at the same time. Again, it's a Lian Li LANCOOL 216 RGB ATX case.
I don't know how to troubleshoot something like this, as I've never had to in the past. I know there is settings somewhere that let me adjust the light configuration (the color(s), various patterns, etc.), but I can't remember where it was and can't seem to find it anywhere. I found "L-Connect 3" software, that controls lights, but their site doesn't even clarify if this works for all their models, or only specific ones (at least I couldn't find it anywhere). I'm downloading that now (VERY slowly), so if that makes a difference, I'll update the post.
If someone can tell me where to find the settings to change the lighting effects, it would be greatly appreciated. I think it makes the most sense to mess with that first. See if changing the setting might make it kick back on in and of itself, or if it's something else.
And if that doesn't fix it, what else can I do to troubleshoot something like this? I mean fortunately since it's just lighting, it's functioning fine fine (which I desperately need as a college student). All the fans are running like they always do, so no problems there. It's literally just the lights on the case.
If the lights are already dying out on this thing, I'm concerned about the integrity of the board, and what else might die out soon too. Hopefully just that, but I'm very wary, as if my PC dies, I'm screwed. I do all my schoolwork on it (I'm a physics major, so I need the software on my PC for a lot of the homework for coding and the like). Anyway, any suggestions on trying to fix this would be greatly appreciated, as well as feedback whether or not something like this happening is an indication other things are likely to die out soon too, or is it typically isolated?
