Yeah twenty years ago, there were a lot of durable workhorse backs even beyond those HoF ones you mentioned. Derrick Henry is almost the only guy currently, and you wonder how much tread life he has left the way he runs over tacklers (even if he gives better than he gets!). There might have been an ESPN article about Frank Gore being the last workhorse back in the NFL.good for him. That's probably about all he's got left, RBs and all.
Freaks like AP are incredibly rare.
Actually, I take that back: Faulk, LT, Sanders, and a few others had a pretty good run as well, being very effective up until they bounced. I forget that Saquon is still pretty young over all, just had those shitty useless two years with the Giants after his rookie year.
I was going to say Frank Gore should probably be mentioned in the conversation as well. Even after his injury he balled out for a few more years. There might have been an ESPN article about Frank Gore being the last workhorse back in the NFL.
Choked out a family member allegedly.
The article was wayyy too long, so I bailed. But might be interesting to the most hard-core Niners fans?I was going to say Frank Gore should probably be mentioned in the conversation as well. Even after his injury he balled out for a few more years.
dude was tough as nails and playing that long as a rb is amazing, but lol at the clickbait article titleSeahawks hit the rebuild button, ship Geno Smith to the Raiders for a mid-round draft pick. 🤷♂️
Kaaron Rodgers incoming? 🤣

Frank Gore: The Last NFL Running Back
After 16 years worth of hits and 9 miles worth of carries, the third-all-time leading rusher has one question for his NFL-bound son and every other back in the league: How bad do you want it?www.espn.com
Garrett said he wanted to win so badly; and now he's accepting record money to stay with the Browns.I hope Adam Peters is already on the phone with the Browns.
I dunno, I'd consider that winning like a mofo if i was Garrett.Garrett said he wanted to win so badly; and now he's accepting record money to stay with the Browns.
Sources: Steelers trading for star WR Metcalf
The Seahawks are trading DK Metcalf to the Steelers, who are signing the WR to a five-year, $150 million contract, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com
any bets on when the first Pickens/Metcalf fight occurs over who's the #1 WR?
I'm not a fan of Deebo, he had 1 incredible season, other than that he's been vastly overpaid for the production he givesWashington needs a true #1 damnit! Deebo could be very good for that team, he's like a way more versatile version of Mclaurin, better coming out of the backfield and such, but they need someone to open up the field.
