Can't remember brands at this point but I went through 2 toasters in about as many years a while ago. Now I have a do everything Gourmia counter fry oven, $99 @ Costco, that does it, but a bit slowly. I almost bought another one at the same price, even though it still works fine after 2 years because it does everything else just fine and is cheap as dirt for these times.
