What's the alcohol content?

That might be a high proof version of soju and would taste even worse if not chilled.

That said I wouldn't just drink something someone gave me because it might actually be "antifreeze".

It's not unpleasant.

Meh. It's clearly a commercial product so it's probably pretty safe. Life's too short to worry. Plus if it is antifreeze I won't remember that I had anything to worry about!

I like to get a feel of the spirit of the spirit that I'm drinking before I smother it in other flavours.
I'm not a massive fan of a sweet mixed drink either.

I realise that this is the food thread but @sdifox is here!
Any particular way I'm supposed to drink this? Someone at work gave it to me.

Tastes a bit like antifreeze.

Chilled, neat. With plenty of starchy food to soften the blow.

Or mix into Somaek. 3/4 glass beer, add one or two shot of soju and mix.

South Koreans average a bottle of soju per week. 375cc.

It's like mellow, slightly sweet vodka tbh.

It's less a tasty drink than an easy way to get very drunk, very quickly I think!

I shall hold my opinion until the morning! (And the other 4 bottles)

About to turn some of that smoked ham from Sunday into a ham salad sandwich with a side of fries.

Decided to take a break from the ham so a sirloin tip roast with a side of cuscus and a caesar salad was dinner tonight.

The weather here in the Central Illinois area is warming up so I got the smoker going for the second Sunday in a row. Feels like spring is right around the corner and I'm here for it!

Tonights meal will consist of seasoned dry rub pork ribs and marinated veggies skewers.

I made a pot of homemade beef stew in my IP.

This is very tasty and so comforting.

This weekend was corned beef brisket with braised green cabbage onions and carrots, along with Colcannon. Made the braised veggies in my Pampered Chef 13x9 covered casserole dish. It is the old model before they added the handle. It was given to me because the owners could not deal with how big and heavy it was. They used it once and noped out.

Tonight is Irish stew.

I did corned beef brisket as well. Sous vide. Coulda cut it with a spoon. So good. Made coleslaw and corn muffins to go with.

Hope everyone had a great St Patrick's day. I celebrate it for my grandfather who, bless his heart, was actually named Clarence Aloysius O'Higgins.

It still boggles my mind that sous-vide isn't a more common kitchen tool. Perfect meats, eggs, veggies, and desserts every. single. time. Especially given the cost of groceries, fast food, and delivery these days!
