Nothing stops Trump from breaking the law and fighting dirty so others are doing the same. The rules have been out the window for those people since 2016. I call this bringing a knife to a knife fight. Diplomacy is over.

It would have been better just to say they have the data. Perhaps providing the location of one of Leon's cars. Exposing their awful security and knowing internet crazies could potentially follow you around would still put a significant damper on sales.

IMO - I think this is a way to prod Tesla owners into changing their cars and scaring off future Tesla buyers. This is less harm than what Musk is already doing to the country.

Looks to be down now unless they moved domains... I looked at it last night. It was not even remotely close to every Tesla owner. There was maybe 30 listing in all of SF Bay area, I can assure you there are slightly more than 30 tesla owners here.

You may think this is alarming now, but millions will die in this civil war. It is nothing compared to what MAGA desires.
I view the targeting of Tesla as early attempts to root out the cancer that is MAGA.

I am not stating a position on your liberal sentiments here. I admire the kind of person who seeks to protect others, but and however, I do not drive a Tesla because I am politically aware of who Musk is. I think he is an ego-maniacal drug addict who uses his wealth to prop up his world of delusions harming others as he does so. Perhaps he could be sued class action style for destroying Tesla owners car resale value. People who bought Tesla cars some how managed to be asleep to whom they were making rich. Ignorance isn't always bliss especially when motivated by a desire not to see the consequences of ones personal actions.

"Those people" enabled Elon to do what he is doing now. There were so many red flags with this guy early on but people chose to ignore them or just did not follow current events. Without all its customers, Elon wouldn't be where he is today. People voted with their $$$.

While I know they don't represent ALL Tesla owners, I know two here in this tiny town who (at least when I saw them last about a year ago) think Musk is a brilliant genius who is basically a man-god who can do no wrong. I don't know if either of them has changed their minds about him...but I doubt it. One is a retired sheriff deputy...VERY right-wing Trump supporter. The other guy is just a retired Boeing guy. Don't remember what he did.

I agree that targeting Tesla owners for what Musk does just seems wrong.

It was mostly liberals who voted with their dollars to get off petroleum polluting cars. By the time I bought non Tesla, Musk had become an obviously negative factor. I can more easily excuse early buyers.

They will start to resell their Teslas, dropping the value or even abandoning to safer places. The issue?
Musk will likely order to start to make custom, but expensive versions to not to be tracked, but for "certain" clients.

I'm a Tesla owner who bought years ago with the hopes of helping the environment (and because rapid acceleration is fun). I feel like certain people are demanding that I sell or destroy my personal property at a large loss of money in order to stick it to the world's richest man. These people are fine inflicting financial pain on me personally in order to get their way. Afterall, cars are worth less than lives, right? I agree. So pay me. Pay off my Tesla loan, and buy me a replacement car. We can meet up and smash the Tesla together.

I understand your situation, and while I don't think it should be necessary, with the state of things it may be worth investigating a bumper sticker or window sticker or something. If you don't want to go as overt as 'muck fusk' or something, maybe a nice anti-Nazi slogan that can get the point across while being non-offensive to everyone worth a shit.

Might save you a few phone calls and some lost money later.

Exactly I know a guy who bought one BEFORE the twitter craziness. Buying one today the buyer knows what they’re getting in to. Buying one years ago is a totally different thing.
